You know Tal just to be safe...maybe we should make the first dream catcher outside the perimeter in case it attracts a different kind of nightmare. That way we can run back and blast whatever comes our way.

Frazz brushes off the looks of the worried observers
" Its ok, its not a stim, its a sedative, anaesthetic actually."
*they look unconvinced*

*observers all let out a sigh of relief.*

Tal continues looking for rituals and area enchantments that ward off nightmares. It's easier to deflect something then it is to catch it afterall.

If Eldritch magic is akin to Computer language, then all you need to do is learn how they define a bad dream is, how to block it and then make a big enough or numerous enough wards for it!

The first dream catcher's been made in case you want to test it out, though.

Frazz walks over to Tal, Vigil, slung over his back. He overhears Tals musings

"Well, how the heck do we define 'bad'? Furthermore, how do we define emotion? Or man himself? It took computers over 100 years to progress to basic smart A.I.s, and even today they are extremely complicated, iffy, and occasionally psychopathic. Also, trying to code with the knowledge we have would be like doing binarry without any zeros."

((Given the ease that Tal is accomplishing these rituals and incantations, im a bit afraid the book might not be a completely non-cognitive hazard))

"Actually Frazz, off the top of my head the first computer was the ancient greek abacus, although there was probably one before that, and I'm pretty sure there were no AI back then. However for the computers you're talking about and that I am good at breaking into, about a hundred years after their invention the 'smartest' or 'most intelligent' AIs were known as Expert Systems, better known as Twenty Questions. Anyway, I heard something about code, what's up?"
