PYRAMID OF DEATH! PYRAMID OF DEATH!

How do we handle tombs? I think we are going to need extravagant underground vaults underneath the death pyramid.

Any ideas for aboveground tombs? Space would be a concern, of course.
I support the idea of a death pyramid with extravagant tombs underneath

Let me tell you what, nobles undesirables and criminals will be thrown off the death pyramid into a pit in the reanimating biome. I can think of no better way to extravagantly execute anything, really.

So, a mistake may or may not have been made in that the upper few levels of the dining/tavern building may have been addicentally collapsed due to bad mining designation. Probably going to turn the planned tavern building into an apartment complex.

OK. Just make sure to keep a drawbridge over the undeath pit so your fort is not swarmed by goblin corpse x100. Things can climb now, and undead are op.

dig down to stone and smooth the walls. smoothed natural stone walls are impossible to climb. rock block ones are pretty difficult and log / rough stone are easy

He certainly is. I think he's got 4-5 kills so far, I'll post a screenshot later.

That is actually the plan. I'm thinking ziggurat style with stairs up one side that lead to the summit, whereupon gobbos will be chucked.

4x4 tombs with masterwork precious metal statues and sarcophagi should allow for compact and luxurious residence in the afterlife, whilst maintaining the all important efficiency that a death pyramid demands.

+1

I think that truly important dwarves, such as the starting 7, kings/queens, and any bay12 dwarf, must have their own small tomb raider complex. This will include traps and drawbridges, maybe some magma or a captured guard creature.

PTW, and I'd like to volunteer to be dwarf.

To choose dwarves from this point forward, I will be utilizing the tried and proven scientific method of "close my eyes and point at the screen" (Unless you specify a dwarf. Still waiting on an animal trainer).

::EDIT::
Sorry about the lack of *actual* updates lately. The save is at work, and the plan is to play it at breaktime. Have not had as much of a chance lately  :-\

Should have a real update soon. I totally botched the planned tavern setup lol. It's all kind of broke.

This looks absolutely hilarious and I'd love to be dorfed. As a cook if possible.

Also, can't wait to read about the horrible dwarftastic tavern.
