Catherine takes The Deimos in softly to the dark side of the planet as ordered. The air seems 'softer' compared to where the angrier clouds are, so one would guess that they're not so likely to happen here in the near future.

As you get closer, the lights from the Deimos cause the terrain to glow as it sweeps by somewhat slowly - you pass over higher terrain, according to the radar which seems to be operating for the near distance, working your way downhill north-west before coming to a hover over a relatively level plateau about 1.5 Kegars from the coast. ((15kmish)).

Catherine: How long until sunrise, Helga? And what's the temperature outside?
HELGA: Approximately 4 hours and 12 minutes. Surface temperature here is 4oC.

Muslim scribbles down a few notes and then gets up from his work station. The tall man walks over to the Bridge. There he peers out the viewport.

Yes of course. (Thought we were already down. My bad.)

Dan changes into a new set of combat fatigues, and wanders around the ship, renewing his mental map. What does he find in the armory?

Comply.

The ship's hover comes a cease, the whirring of the engine coming to a calm hum and the thrusters winding down to a halt. The exterior lights illuminate a ghoulish landcape in the near-field of beige and rock and dust. After a few moments of deliberation and consideration, Catherine follows through with orders to kick the forelamp on, blasting a great swathe of conical light ahead. Familiar black shapes skitter into the shade of rocky outcroppings and hillocks as the light momentarily reveals them.

Dan changes into a new set of combat fatigues, and wanders around the ship, renewing his mental map. What does he find in the armory?

((Again, treat it as personal belongings. Anything unrealistic will be revoked, but continue. Keep in mind that the ship got vacuum'd to some degree.))

Science time. Determine plausibility of cloning flesh for food.

In consideration to previous scientific publications and tests, two applicable things to this theory are proven as a possibility; cloning and energy to matter. Whilst the former has greater research behind it, making it a far more plausible option, it has a much longer incubation time - body parts and the like take time to grow, even with the aid of stimulants and other such chemical applications. The latter however, whilst it has had small success, is a near-instantaneous production without the requirement of source materials beyond the energy applied itself - though, if the current theories are true, this would take a large amount of source energy... though like many things, this is likely a disadvantage of new technology and failure of optimization.

“Captain, permission to access and evaluate the damaged parts of the ship?” The doctor asks Captain Manjundar.

Muslim leaves the Bridge and walks to the Canteen. He accesses the state of the room.

Light from the exterior lamps reflect dimly into the room through cracks and holes, more like a fog than any expectable, tangible path that light typically takes. A loose cable in the wall spits bits of electric in sporadic vehemently, like a snake warding any wanderers a distance. You find a small shoulder-lamp nearby and clip it on. the batteries still work and you let out a wide swathe of light, designed for larger, shorter illuminations than long focal cylindricals.
As you explore the room, the planet's chilly, strange atmosphere makes your hairs stand on end - likely a result, you deduct, moreso due to the electric charges in the air than the cold. You breath puffs of cold.

The room itself is in pieces - a large segment of the wall is completely missing, the room is practically barren of anything smaller than a bench - of which a few remain, along with long thin tables. You assume their happenstance of disorderly placings is the result of the suctions that would have sapped the air. You notice, however, here you are lighter. You assume this that the gravity panels in this room aren't working to some degree. The bar is, to much regret, dry. The storage cabinet behind it long had its roller-doors ripped off and the liquors behind it have long since saturated the universe - you wander, in amusement, if they will ever meet a lucky consumer lost in space? You do however find some glass tumblers that have been kept in a secure cabinet under the bar, as well as a casket of several bottles of wine - red wine, no less. They say they taste better with age... you wonder.

The Galley's door is still in-tact and shut, though you imagine it may still be working.

In consideration, whilst cloning takes longer to grow a stable food supply, you believe that your knowledge would permit this to be accomplished some time before developing an energy-to-matter device - lest luck intervene. Either route would require boxes of soft metals to build the necessary. Cloning would require a container per specimen, a source of electric for small discharge, plasma, and several other generic components.
