If possible, scan for possibly edible things. Long-range Scan again to see if there are any newly in range planets.

You know from common knowledge that the mineral manipulator in Engineering is able to process and craft raw minerals into small components [Material Boxes].

Actually knowing if there are usable minerals on the surface, you could only wonder from this distance.
