(People doing those things count as the "doing a job already" that I mentioned earlier. I was mostly looking to get help from the soldiers and others who are not currently doing important life saving jobs. As I have no engineering skills and can't fix anything the most useful thing I could do was to find a second ship which could be useful to us or find the remains of such a ship which we could use for scrap.) Just do the scan, direct anyone who could be useful back to the jobs they should be doing.

Ashton grabs a toolkit and some diagnostic equipment and begins taking a look at the broken equipment still inside the ship, trying to remember what it was equipped with for weapons.

"Also, would it be feasible to set up a hydroponics facility inside the ship to help out our food situation, Helga? Or at least get something out of this slop?"

Muslim leaves his silent-sitting-in-an-almost-pitch-black-room state and heads down to storage to check on the food supplies. He tries to estimate how long the food would last between him and his eleven crewmates.

Ashton asks Helga how many days of food and water they had left if rationed appropriately amongst the crew.

HELGA: Seven Units of food remain. One unit, on rationing, is designed to sustain a human being for 72 hours.

Ask Helga to check to see how the alien got on the ship.

While looking at the meager amount of food in the dark Cargo Bay, Muslim hears HELGA call out how much food they have. Hearing all the chatter on comm. about the lack of power, food, and water has the doctor decide to walk over to the Engineering. There he examines a projection with a map of the Deimos and the statuses of various parts of the ship. The doctor soon grabs his communication device and turns it on.
“Hey guys, do think we could have food in the Galley, Bar, or Lounge & Canteen? Could it have survived exposure to space?”

He then speaks to the AI.
“Helga, are you able to detect if there is food or water in the Galley, Bar, Lounge, or Canteen areas?”
