"Shit. Will the shields hold? Do we need to get inside or just clip ourselves on and wait it out?"

(Tony, Navigation)

If possible, maneuever ship out of collision course.
If not possible to dodge entirely, maneuver so that isn't a direct impact.
If not possible and shield only stops fast moving objects, full thrust slam into the fucking thing. Assuming it is possible with our current orientation.

In such a manner that I don't rip out whatever tether the people outside are using. Or without crashing into an asteroid. Or...
Just assume Tony isn't a complete dumbass.

With the full slam thing, even if it pierces the shield, it should be weaker than our hull.

((That was the not a dumbass clause. I doubt we have so much thrust that a person near the airlock wouldn't be able to grab hold, and I stated that I don't want to fuck around with the tether. The people outside can be picked up later even if we gain a bit of distance.

Honestly, I'm assuming our sensors are picking it up so I know its speed? If it is moving slowly, then I should be able to get out of the way with a low burst of thrust. If at high speed, then it really depends on its angle of approach.))

((Azk, my decisions can be ignored if I don't have precise data on the aliens speed and location, or if you want to specify the speed at which it is coming, its angle of approach and our thrust.))

As Dan Furesson fires the turret pod, the ship suddenly shifts dangerously. His shots go wide and knocks his head on the interface in front of him.

Meanwhile, despite his best intentions, Tony Laev has attempted to shift the ship slightly - which would have in theory dodged the incoming alien body. However, due to his perceptions being effected by some serious dosages of meds, he's given the ship a good brunt away from the asteroid.

The alien has gone flying by the ship - or moreso, the ship has flew past the alien - but due to the sudden shift, Ashton Garrett has been sent spinning into space, but gripping tightly to the now-disconnected tethering cable (tethered still to the asteroid), and Mac Sanchez has lost his footing altogether and is now defiantly kicking and swearing as he spins through space at a very slow pace.

((Fucknuggets.))

Tony proceeds to slam his head onto the console. He hadn't realized just how much the drugs were affecting him.

"Helga, set parallel course to Ashton but keep a safe distance."

"Catherine, I need you to take the helm. We need to Ashton and Mac back and I'm in no condition to make those sorts of maneuevers."

Tony went back to the medbay, and lied down on the bed. "FUCK!"

Maneuver the ship back to the asteroid to let Ashton back in, and once they're in, try to get the ship in front of Mac.

Mac bunches his body together to lower any impacts. He extends his hands out to grasp on to anything.

Now watching gravely from the bridge the captain asked Helga. Was that our only tethering cable?

As blood drains from everybody's faces - whilst Tony has the opposite effect from the face smashings - Goodman bolts into action, reversing the ship's movement and effectively scooping Ashton back into the Airlock shelf. Ahston hooks the cable around an outcropping on the ice shard as she passes, securing it back with her.

((Try to get the ship in front of Mac... as in, so the thrusters are burning him, or line him up for the airlock?))

((The tethering cable is stock cargo, there should be a bunch more)).

(Sorry for the late reply!)

The ship swivels to starboard and lines up perfectly as Mac bounced back onto the airlock shelf.

Catherine closes up the airlock, and sighs as she leans back in her chair. "Right then. We getting out of this asteroid field or what?"
