you can of course modify it, i haven't yet done your part so, go wild.

As for fighting and eating: not necessarily. Fighting however is very inefficient use of your essence once you have it. Like a nuclear reaction it is strong but it leaves ambient radiation ( so to say). Hint: you don't have to kill a god completely if you just want to rob him of some of his essence.

Devouring the Essence of another god is similiarly inefficient. The Death of a being with soul splinters it and you can't consume all of it.

Ah shit, I didn't know that. I thought we had to beat the titan to get the essence. I may have followed in Ardas's footsteps....

yes you have to beat them and devour them, however it is inefficient and there is no way of making it more efficient.

I sense that we will discover a more efficient means later on?

read the sentence again ;) the inefficiency has a purpose...you might or might not discover it. But it has for example something to do with the Mother of Sins already being a god. Well enough hints for now. Otherwise i can't feed more of you to the kiln...*laughs evilly*

Cursed ancients!  Well, it was worth a shot.

sorry, it was an even chance, but people seem to die a lot to these titans. Although they will be the only things bigger than you that run around.

Anyhow if you want i can send you the rolls.

Nah, I'm pretty much taking it as foolish trying to take one on single-handedly, even if it was an indirect confrontation.  The metric in this game seems simple enough - if you want to kill something, gang up.  One on one fights will kill you.

I suspect you can do one on one fights, but you better prepare well and find yourself something to even out the odds.

Or 'fight-like' encounters, I should say.  Trying to mesmerise an Ancient can get turned on you - basically, if you do any interactions with them, take friends or you'll get eaten.

Uh... Why am I still a Voidborn after I risked my life stealing and eating a valuable artifact from two gods?

I am not the GM, but I believe the opening post states that artifacts don't hold essence, unlike living beings.

Because you broke it, you didn't eat it.

We didn't put actual Essence capacity into artifacts, so to speak. Living beings, yes. Artifacts, no. Thus, you can't actually eat it.
