Forcing recover wounded?
« on: August 04, 2015, 06:05:23 pm »

After a gassy FB attack, I have one dwarf who appears to be in a coma in the hallway.  Asleep, hungry and thirsty, not taking food or water when others bring them, but yet nobody will bring them to the luxury hospital which is right down the hall.  There are 8 free beds.

Is there any way to force them to carry her to the hospital, so she can get evaluated by my physician?

I'm new to succession forts in general, yes, but do all forts designed by multiple overseers inevitably degenerate into a body-filled labyrinth of chaos and despair like this? Or is this just a Battlefailed thing?

I have 2-3 nurse dwarves for that purpose. They have everything turned off except for patient care.

Create a new hauling route and order a light wooden minecart pushed into the comatose dwarf in the hope that a straightforward broken bone will trigger a medical response.

Come to find out, it was a slow acting syndrome.  About 4 dwarves all over the fortress fell into comas and died of dehydration due to the FB gas.  Since they weren't "injured", everyone just offered them food and water, shrugged, and stepped over them until *gasp* they were dead.
