I consider myself to be a moderate writer. My real skill is with the ideas themselves.

Yes, I do. I'm sorry I scolded you about you spelling and grammar, I didn't know that English wasn't your native language. What is your first language?

Well, I never considered myself a good writer. Others would tell me a was, but I was hesitant to believe it. I'm starting to believe otherwise, however. I didn't think that Medi Eggamazes was very well written, especially the first part, but I guess that's to be expected on the first try. Railick Stonemane said I could be great, so perhaps there is hope for me.

If I do have this "sim ability", can it be trained? Can I go from Novice to Lengendary?

---------------------------------------------

As soon as the dwarves were truly on their way and had disappeared a few hundred feet down the road; the dark form in the tree suddenly jerked into motion, the kobold dropped to the ground and landed on his feet whiteout making a sound, his digitigrade stance allowing a much smoother landing than a plantigrade creature could manage, he ran completely silent yet faster than most humans twice his size could have managed at their fastest, instinctively flowing from shadow to shadow, looking more like a almost invisible wave of liquid darkness than a running creature.

The flow made it's way towards the note the dwarves had so carelessly dropped after reading, reaching the goal it would appear to anybody seeing this as that the shadow just disapered into noting together whit the note when he stood still, but that is not the case, Karicoth read the note, a threat letter in the ever ongoing war of the naked apes, he couldn't care less. Or could he? after all, what right had these humans to destroy a creature much older and wiser than themselves in order to make furniture out of it? Personally Karicoth had never needed furniture, kobolds generally don't as they don't put the same weight in comport as humans or dwarves. He slipped the note into a pocket as he began moving towards the half collapsed building, observing the detestation around, how meaningless, he thought, all for this strange idea of having more items that everybody else...

he grabbed one of the elven arrows, it was finely crafted by caring hands, how ironic as it was a weapon of war, he quickly slipped some of the arrows into his pockets, even if he had no bow but he lived by the philosophy that in enemy lands a sharp object might always come in handy.

He slid thought the almost closed door whiteout touching it, a feat for most but everyday survival in a narrow caves were kobolds evolved.
he flowed around the room, more relaxed now when hidden from outside view, searching the building closely, collecting all small objects, on the floor or looting the corpses, going thought the carpentry tools and taking everything small enough not to hinder his movements or slow him down. Coins, keys, various personal objects of the dead, various chisels and blades used in working the wood, some measuring instruments, even water from some barrels taking some fat to waterproof some of his pockets. Quite soon he discovered a patch of dirt looking freshly dug, he dug there reviving
[whatever R_U had planned on being hid there] after finishing his swift yet detailed search he slid up a wall, even himself unsure if he leaped or climbed, up thought the broken roof and flowing up a tree trunk, leaping from tree to tree until he cough up whit the dwarves, then he slowed to move parallel to the wagon, almost walking from interconnecting branch to interconnecting branch, effortlessly staying hidden at this slow pace, observing the dwarves carefully.

*The MYSTERIOUS KOBOLD finds that the patch of freshly turned dirt was a shallow grave, judging by its size, it probably contains at least a dozen humans. The topmost unearthed corpse still wears a grimace of pain, a gold ring, and a fine steel dagger stil held in a deathgrip. The goodies you found almost make you want to dig further, but that much digging would be too much like real work.

The MYSTERIOUS KOBOLD follows the band of dwarves, and it sees that they are ALREADY being pursued, by a slavering pack of ZOMBIE WOLVESx3. It seems that they are in for some real trouble.*

(Note: Due to quantum mechanics, you cannot have the note because TIWUTHI never let it go  :D )

Scene:

*The dwarves continue marching, nearing the end of the fourth day, spirits are low when a fork in the road appears up ahead through the darkness...

SIGN:"Straigt path- River Ford, 2 miles,, Beware: Rapid waters. Right Path- Human town of Smokeswallows, 40 miles."

...All eyes turn to Oddom, expedition leader. he looks down at the map and it seems like the river is the last obstacle to reaching the site.*

"Ok folks, are we going to risk possible loss of supplys, or are we going to add another 80 miles to our trip? Based on the speed we've been going, it's just one more day."

STOP ASSUMING KOBOLDS ARE EVIL! THEY ARE NOT!  :)

By having this ability you are already legendary, if both you, Reign, and Stonemane have it this makes five known instances in total, of which inly two is carefully studied. Not very great research material.  :p
But I do think it can be trained, and used much more efficiently whit better understanding, to do this I would need a much more direct communication than a public forum, but phone if far to expensive and you say you don't want to chat, so I don't know how to help you. Really whiteout this it is hardly more than a tool to write pretty stories, what I and AlanL is doing gives omnipotent power over real universes inhabited by real peaple, or archiving true understanding of the deepest mysteries in... well everything.
I know this sounds like some religious nonsense but truly it's only a few tricks of math and logic requiring these kinds of sims to understand, and then some important consequences of some more advanced sims. Fale, Blitukus, and Kazo really does exist.
What you can do yourself is reading AKQ, and also reading up on some quantum mechanics and memetics.

While Armok is good at Rping and storytelling, I don't think it's fair for him to warp time without the Gm's opinion. Stupid evil gods, always trying to control everything!   :D

Oddom shrugs "Ok then, let's go..." Oddom leads the party to the river, stopping to study the river as soon as they get there.

Just explain it as a flashback/review of events.

And Armok, for me it's not so much omnipotent as omniscient. I couldn't change my ideas no matter how hard I tried, they're beyond my controll, I am but a humble scholar, recording events as they happen.

Reign: The flashback/revive thing is a good idea, it might become a bit confusing but we should manage.

OK, now I am quite sure you have sim ability. That kind of sim is very good, really you can change it before it solidifies completely, or you can hack it but that reduces the awesomeness by magnitudes and might break it. There are some other tricks as well.
Really non or minimal intervention is a good thing and interference is usually a hard temptation to resist, and if its badly stabilized it might be necessary to get it back on track. But sims that are free from meddling are generally smoother and less artificial seeming.
Having them stable enough for intervention to become HARD to do is a very good thing.
I would really want to talk whit you.
