Tiwuthi grits his teeth. "Damned surface-dwellers and their precious trees.", he mutters to himself as he surveys the destruction. He turns around and waves the note in the air. "Ye rangers ought ta see dis!" Tiwuthi cries. Seeing the open door, he steps warily inside.

*Oddom Begins running across the field to snatch the note, but it is stil a long ways off. Thikut enters the saw mill building where he finds a large room full of benches and tables, a complete set of fine carpentry tools(+1) a barrel of water, stone blocks, and the rest of the building has collapsed, with a human corpse partially sticking out of the rubble. There is an arrow in his leg. Beyond one of the missing walls, there is a mound of freshly turned earth.*

Do you take non-dwarf PCs?
I don't have very much experience whit RPGs, I got the concept quite well, and I do RP better than most I think, but I've always thought that hitpoints and rolls don't belong in a free RP.
I have no experience of GURPS, can I assume if works about like DnD?
I've newer played that either, but I've heard enough to understand most of it and also in the dark years before I discovered DF I played a bit of those horribly RP-free computer games based on it.

Ok, I am Karicoth, kobold master thief, perfectly agile and legendary at the stealth arts. I have a ¤<<steel>>¤ whit image of burning dwarves in nightwing leather, and black as night *Giant cave spider silk robe*, whit plenty of hidden pockets, some whits contain three weeks of hardtack.

I have been following the dwarves at a safe distance since they left, carefully to never bee seen, I still am.

I have a fair bit of backstory, if the dwarves don't kill me you will sooner or later get to hear it.    ;)

Edit: I am an expert at using the dagger to.
I am using the DF system for quality and skills as you see, so legendary ambusher and expert Daggerbold.
I also reserve the right for some amazing feats of acrobatics as per being perfectly agile.
Lastly I think I forgot some skills, first of I am very good at escaping things, I assumed this was implied by perfectly agile but just to be on the safe side, "escape artist" I think it is called in DnD, but I'm not sure, Also I am very good at the various talking skills.
I know this is a bit overpowered but it is needed for me to RP the character I have imagined. Excuse it whit it being only me against all the dwarves or something.

But this is a *legendary* kobold master thief PC whit a name, a backstory, and damn determination for vengeance. Narrative laws of physics virtually forbid him from dying unless it is a main turning point of the story to send someone else on a quest for vengeance.  :D

Armok is always roleplaying (Some people find this annoying, I've yet to discover why.), so I'd wager he knows what he's doing.

Karicoth covers on a treebranch as still as a statue, looking down upon the dwarves examining the logging camp, shadowed by the leaves into practical invisibility, the left hand holding another branch for support, the right one clutching the dagger whit a force that would crush most objects not made from solid metal, his eyes half closed to hide the burning hatred in them.

Inner monologue:
They will pay. those dwarves whit their flat faces and their jerky plantigrade walking... Unimah, Gikgro, those kobolds were once my servants, later my friends, and now... rotting corpses on a dwarven refuse pile, felled by those very dwarves before me, by their bolts and those savage kobold-headed beasts they have. And all only for that abstract dwarven idea, what do they call it... ah, "ownership", my kind have committed no crime, my friends were only gathering supplies! And what coward attacks an already running foe? Only an ape. They don't know who they are messing whit...

-----------------------
So can I RP?  :p
Sorry for the double post, I didn't want this to be in only an edit.
Also it seems I have a problem whit one thing; remembering to say all abut my character before beginning. It's not me changing my mind, its just that I have a very clear image of this character but forget to say everything in the beginning. I simply simply keep forgeting it is not enough for the reader to understand thought RP the traits of my char, but that I also need to state it clearly for a stat list.
For example I think I forgot to say he is very intelligent, well educated, and have an uncanny ability to noticed details others don't.

Well, this will be interesting. I *once* strangled a kobold master theif (adv mode) to death with only novice skill. Whenever Armok gets involved, who knows what will happen. (btw this is dead, maybe a new GM should be appointed)

I think we can learn a lot about your character through RP, it would be more interesting that way. Of course, the GM probably has to know the details about your character. You probably have to construct your character in the proper fashion, but I'd hate to see an interesting chartacter and the resulting plot go down the tubes because you didn't have enough points to spend on him.

EDIT:

I nominate Armok! He's already cooking up a new plot.

EDIT AGAIN:
We're never going to get to this goddamn fortress, are we?

Me? A GM/DM whatever it is called? I am honored Fenrir!  :D

I can only see one problem; while adept at role playing I know nothing about the gamesystem, GURPS I think it was called. I can RP but I have no idea on how all these rolls and stats mean.
Also I am an horrible author, but that I am willing to ignore, basically if I become GM ("when i become", like it was an election to major or something) there will be hight quality sim but no plot. But n a RPG that might be a good thing, actually I think i might be.

The biggest problem whit me becoming GM would be that then this goes from RPG to just RP.
Also if i do one bonus is that you will be free to negotiate and complain all decisions as they will not be based on a numeric system.
Do you want to abandon GURPS? if you chose me as GM it is almost certain we will.

So, do you want to speed this up at the risk of data lost in translation and the original GM getting angry when he returns?
Another drawback for me is hat then i will feel even more obligated to do it evry day. If you read A Kobold's Quest (you REALLY should, its truly Beyond Quality), then you know I can be quite faithful to a thread, so for speed I am probably the best choice on the entire forum.

Please discus.

You should start a new RP thread, if you have the time for this. It would be rather unkind to hijack someone's thread, and it would only lead to trolls berating you for your RPing.

I hope you do, I think it would be great fun (the new RP thread, that is, not the hijacking).

I, for one, would be willing to take part in a strict RP with Armok in charge.
