The sun rises over the Guild hall, filtered through the rungs of a 20-story ladder to a tower in the sky. The adventurers stand at it's feet.
"Alrighty then," says the Guild Master, "Conein, Benny, Bobby, and Arthur. You're the first team heading in. Try not to die, but you signed waivers when you joined, so I don't really care. So, get on with it." He gestures to the ladder.

Begin climbing the ladder

(5) You make it up without incident.

Arthur gears up first then heads up

Also, no incident. It's a ladder, not complex machinery.

((Going to be going somewhere in a few. We can assume everyone went up.))

You get into the entrance hall, and see the monsters immediately. 6 slobbering, mad goblins. (3)(5)(4)(2)(5)(3) 2 of them notice you, and begin charging you down. 3 of them are none the wiser, and 1 turns but doesn't charge yet.

Fight against the two charging goblins

((That is indeed why, since it's all you were going to do.))
(4) You slice the first goblin in the arm, weakening his strikes.

"Attack!"

Join in the strike

(2) You swing... and somehow end up missing them by a mile.

"Fools!"

Wring one of the charging goblins' necks to serve as a warning to the rest.

(6) You grab one by the throat, and start wringing it's neck. Goblin 2 dies, but the rest are now all focused on you.

"DIE YOU GOBLIN BASTARDS"

((Btw this is the demon that is bound to Arthur))

(1) You try to be cool, throwing your sword... and getting it stuck in the wall. Whoops.

(2-1) Goblin 1 tries to punch Bobby, but trips and ends up punching himself in the junk.
(1) Goblin 3 trips over the prone Goblin 1. They end up in a rather compromising position. Especially since neither of them have pants.
(6) Goblin 4 punches Bobby in the face hard enough to break his nose, but can't control his momentum afterwards and ends up punching at Goblin 5, who was trying to sneak attack Bobby.
(3-1) This surprises Goblin 5 into stopping his attack.
(6) Goblin 6 kicks Bobby in the groin, going for pain instead of damage.

Retrive the sword

kill goblin 1, or attack him.

"YOU DARE ROCHAMBEAU THE EMPEROR!" says Bobby, spitting out a tooth.

Kick Goblin 6 in the nuts while shouting a mighty kiai.

Attack again!

Retrive the sword

Sword retrieved.

kill goblin 1, or attack him.

(6) You cut his head right in half, but now your sword is stuck in a bunch of grey matter.

"YOU DARE ROCHAMBEAU THE EMPEROR!" says Bobby, spitting out a tooth.

Kick Goblin 6 in the nuts while shouting a mighty kiai.

(4) Nuts have been kicked. (2) Your kiai is not mighty in the slightest, prompting laughter from the surviving goblins.

Attack again!

(5) Goblin 1 being dead, you attack Goblin 3 and slice his head right off.

Goblins 1, 2, and 3 are currently dead. Goblin 6 is recoiling in nut-induced pain.

(6) Goblin 4 decides to chomp on Arthur's head. (6) Arthur doesn't even notice the fact that his head is in the process of being bitten off. Literally, he feels nothing. The first tooth went into the place that processes pain.

(3) Goblin 5 nearly stabs Bobby, but misses with only a graze.
