I rolled to see what was summoned within the "Could eat a goblin" category, and they rolled low. If they'd rolled a 5 there, they might have gotten something more impressive, like a giant troll or something else.

Later on, there will be armored enemies. The starting sword, in some cases, won't be strong enough to hit through the armor. The better the sword, the lower roll needed to get through the armor.
