Practically ignoring everyone else and the previous spar, Inido continues to shoot the same arrows into the same dummy in the same manner every time.

[Sirus]

The cavalier chuckled.

: "Remind me to match blades with you once I get my old sword arm back. I think the outcome will be quite different." After giving Ash's hand a firm shake, he dropped it.

: "So. I don't suppose anyone has an inkling as to why our mystery lady would hire us all?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I heard a noblewoman - this would be our lady Lily - needed a guard to take her to No Man's Land. I didn't know there would be so many people applying."

[GiglameshDespair]

"Miss Ash is roight. Miss... Lily... is being escorted to No Man's Land, fer whatever reason."

[Sirus]

: "No Man's Land, hmm? I wonder what business she has there...it is not, as the name implies, a place where many people go."

The number of guards hired bothered him as well. If the stories he had heard about the place were accurate, then this bunch might be too few.

[GiglameshDespair]

"Hardly a better place to lie low, though. If you get there, no one's gonna go looking."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Perhaps she's looking for something."

[GiglameshDespair]

"There's nothin' there but swampmen and soldiers. Soft girl like that... she ain't suited to a hide-and-seek session in No Man's Land."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Ashlyssa shrugged.

"Well then, perhaps she just wants to see it for herself. She does seem the type."

[F.O.E.]

Alisa had spent her time wandering the castle, seeking possible hiding places throughout on the chance she would ever need to make use of them. That had consumed a long amount of time she realized when she observed her shadow had grown longer. It wasn't hard to find the majority of the other mercenaries, their conversation easy to pick up in the otherwise silent castle. She watched them from the shadows for a bit before her eyes caught the archer's endless practice. With more curiosity as to what his reaction would be than malice, she snuck up behind him and jabbed her finger into his side.

"Boo."

[Caellath]

"It is our contract, though."

"We are a motley group instead of an organized force she could otherwise have sought; it means that whatever might be her reason, we might be better off not knowing."

[SOLDIER First]

"Son of a--!"

With an enormous jump, Inido let the arrow loose... Ten feet above the dummy, where it sailed out over the archery range and beyond.

Inido slowly turns towards Alisa, a strangely tranquil look on his face.

"Why. Would you think. That that was a good idea?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I don't intend to question her. Her business in No Man's Land is none of my business unless she deems it so."

[USEC_OFFICER]

Varda, having woken up from her post-meal nap, heads to the library to RP with her fellow mages browse the bookshelves for anything that looks interesting. You'll never know when you'll stumble upon a thought-provoking essay or intelligent dialogue after all.

"That's wise." After his answer to Ashlyssa, Theor looked at the sky, apparently interested in watching the sun set.
