Nah, we're enhancing the mundaneness of the Fighter with the majesty of the Wizard.
That's even worse. You end up with a shitty fighter that happens to have low level shitty magic.

That's even worse. You end up with a shitty fighter that happens to have low level shitty magic.

I disagree. you don't just use them separately. when the styles come together it can for to halves of a grater whole.

all the extra water means your enemies will slip. good for decapitating them or shoving fire down throats

the gm gave me a thumbs up. this will get the best of both worlds. swinging swords and throwing fireballs.

swords are also good for setting on magical fire, and more effective than staffs at hitting foes that get to close.
How will they get close when you're on your own private (self-made) demiplane, astral projecting onto the material plane?

Wizard+Fighter generally causes you to specialize in destruction magic (and possibly combat buffs) instead of the stuff that makes Wizards so powerful (well, buffing is actually pretty decent, but it works best when you buff others so you can focus on buffing them instead of trying to balance health and mana).
