"I don't mind being called D," he says, trying to keep a straight face. A nickname! "Well, I don't know much about psychology, but I guess we could scare him into thinking he'll get it even worse if he hurt hostages. Make dissecting him real slow." He ponders some more. "Might make him agitated though. Which is bad. Makes his moves harder to predict."

"We don't know his range. We only know that no calls have made it out of that store, and we can't tap into its cameras. The fact that the cameras across the street still function seem to indicate a relatively short range. We don't know about IR detection in this case - but this is his first time doing this. First-timers usually don't mask their heat signatures when going invisible. Now, just a second here..."

She steps out from the stairwell and walks through the first sliding door on the left. You follow, and the first thing you're surprised by is the sheer size. Ceiling's not very high, but the room seems to stretch into infinity. The second thing that catches your attention are the guns. Walls and walls of guns. Some of them look wouldn't look out of place in Star Trek, and some look like they were pulled from the pages of a steampunk novel. And there are just so many! Among all the guns, body armor, helmets, and various gadgets hang from hooks. The woman turns, and fishes for sheets of paper in her folder.

"Okay, now, here we are. Lists of standard gear for a new team. None of the fancy stuff today - that's for going up against heavy hitters."

You look at the sheet you were just handed.

"Some of you might have less fancy kit than the others, but that's because your job descriptions are all different. Analysts, for instance, figure out what unique way the situation is fucked up in and then unfuck it. Vehicle specialist, well, you drive. Or fly. Or provide close air support. You do a lot, really. But knowing how to hotwire a car is a plus. Containment, you help bring guys in. Alive, if possible. Got some promising stuff cooking up for you that should be ready in a week or two. Weapons, you kill shit. And blow shit up. Not too complicated. Comms, you make sure that we have all the intel available and that the enemy does not. That means listening in, jamming, calling stuff in to triangulate it, whatever. Sergeant? Well, you're in charge of the squad, for one. And for two, when we're going after more dangerous game, you have the honor of marking targets for arty and CAS. Yeah, we can get that sort of thing. No, you shouldn't ask how."

She looks befuddled for a moment, as if trying to remember something.

"Right! You asked about paint guns. Got an aerosolizer that works with just about any pressurized mixture. I can make sure that it and paint cartridges are ready for you in the van. Motion trackers are just next to the helmet cams. Before I forget - when you grab armor, grab the HRT stuff, that's our cover for today."

Grab all standard gear.
I have a feeling that knockout gas may be a good approach on this one. Put the whole store to sleep and find our guy while he snoozes. Judging from the size of the store and the power level, at the very least it will reduce witnesses. A solid plan A, with paint being a good B. I think heavy weapons may need to be placed somewhere around H.

"Yes, cuffs. Should be some zip cuffs attached to the Kevlar over there. Should be on the list too, gotta fix that for the next batch." She gestures to one of the many vests. "Uh, AA12, let me see. Check the third row of Heavy Weapons. With the rest of the big shotguns."

((AseaHeru, you're on the wait list.))

"Normal tranquilizers and sleeping gas can kill people via overdosing. I don't think that we should do that. Can we get non-lethal pain gas to make him scream in pain?"

Obtain the spray can, the standard gear for weapon specialists (swap the remote explosives for normal grenades, though), and a steamthrower (like a flamethrower, but with steam).

Damien looked apprehensive. "You think I'll OD him?" If there was anything Damien was sure about, it was his containment skills.

"Don't matter if you OD him, D. At least you're using dart guns instead of sniper rifles. Containment's a priority, but we have to keep people safe, and if that means killing our targets, so be it."

Reyes peruses the standard item sheet he was given. Wanting no additional unneeded kills, Reyes requests for some additional gear.

"Think I can get one of these tranq guns reserved for containment? I'd want to avoid killing our target if possible, and having a handgun is nice but it makes people bleed. Sometimes bleed harder than I would personally like."

He takes a look at the designators, taking note of their use during wars and heavy combat, and frowns. "Also, these designators... are they really for artillery? Seems too flashy for urban combat, with a Tier 2 whose abilities amount to being a poltergeist. I hope we don't have to bomb buildings to high hell."

He takes a deep breath, and replies to his own concerns.

"Then again, we might not know if this guy has any accomplices."

Grab standard equipment, minus Carbine. Replace Carbine with Tranq rifle, if possible. Otherwise, take Carbine. Take spray can; we need to paint the target for visuals.

"Of course we aren't calling artillery strikes on urban areas. I would presume that's only on bigger threats and a whole lot of warpers."
