"...Good morning, Ms. Culla. Or is it Mrs. Culla? Hard to tell with congregate species...

It's amazing, really. This brave little fellow is apparently from a species living within this planet-it's not a gas giant at all, or not like anything we know of yet. He came up to this abandoned station-he actually flew here, if you can believe it-and I was able to decode his language through the use of universal mathematical formulae, and now we are having an animated discussion...amazing in technical terms, the discovery-and, practically it will give us a great advantage in securing our cargo..."

She talked rapidly, not stopping to take a breath and tells her what else she's learned, i.e, from any backposts.

His bass sounds scales up to beyond your hearing in alarm, clearly he is extremely unused to imagery.  The sound of the second chirp however snaps him out of it and he looks at the monitor.  Waiting till you are done conversing between each other he begins modulating the sawing of his mandibles to make his speech into a song of itself as he responds.  "Greetings to you, second new lifeform.  As per the species you want, that would be the Crystalline horror that nearly consumed me.  I have had a few very close experiences with it's predatory techniques personally.  There are far smaller members of that species that live down just below the lightening storm and at times we sing them to sleep as a sort of dangerous sport for my people.  Initially I tried to lull that large one as well, but it didn't seem to work, maybe it is too large to truly hear me."

He looks slightly distressed "Do you need that one in particular?  I doubt you could control it, and it may destroy you.  If you like we could try and get a smaller specimen from my planet's surface.  As for me getting to you safely I can simply fly over.  It would take but moments."

((The specific job itself did request a member of that creatures species, you are sure he'd be moderately disappointed in having what would likely be a juvenile but would still pay in full.))

Culla thought over the question, politely listening to the Lunar's rapid-fire conversation.

"Perhaps both. Ms-Mrs Culla. Perhaps neither. Maybe combine? Mss Culla." Her voice was an artificial feminine tone, created by the armour's software.

"Hello, Mr Bug. You are impressive. I am Culla. I am Calcinite." She took her helmet, revealing the translucent blue jelly-like flesh that composed her being.

His eyes swivel around to the front, fully taking in your jelly-like form.  "Intriguing, does not removing your exo-skeleton hurt?  Or is it an artificial one?  Apologies but my translator did not take your name properly... greetings... Cuuuul-eii the cull-ci-nit."  Despite the difficulties with his way of speaking to attempt forming your name, it is far closer than a number of other species manage to do in their native language.

"A smaller example of the species would be ideal for our purposes. And, far less lethal to us. That was merely the largest one I was able to pick up on my ships sensors." She said.

"As for your visit...I suppose we can go ahead with that if you are confident and it can be done with no risk. You can meet the crew. I will be opening a portal on the side of my 'metal nest'-we call it an 'air-lock'. I will come out in my own suit to avoid potential biological contamination, and meet you there, friend."

Action: Camilla goes to meet the little fellow at an airlock door once Culla and he are done with the conversation. She escorts him to to the refectory.

Also, to avoid potential cross contamination, she goes and suits up beforehand-and urge the rest of the crew to do the same.

Resun finishes checking over his workshop before turning to leave it, satisfied with it's current state before spotting Hector, nodding to him with a small smile. "Hey, how are you?"
Better, Hector replies. I have eaten and am hydrated, and the cryo sickness is leaving me.

He thinks for a moment before continuing.

Mac showed his face today. I am of worrying that his self-maintenance is causing of problems again. Would you be able to be taking a look at him?

Camilla's anouncment comes over the PA.

We had best head out and get ready.

~screek~

"This is Camilla Rinaldo again. FYI, I'm bring on board a sentient lifeform aboard the ship who I made contact with. To avoid potential disease contamination, I suggest you wear your vac-suits. See you in the refectory! Rinaldo, out." She announced.

Assuming Resun is right behind him, Hector heads back to the armory to pick out a good vac suit; it covers more than his armor-pack typically covers, but it does seal out diseases. He decides to wear his pack over the vac-suit, and brings his axe to the refectory.

I am ready for the hunt, he broadcasts to anyone within his thought-range.

Anita starts at the voice in her head, having not tried to read anyone, but then remembers that one of the crew members could do it because of their species. "Ready to go." she says over the radio.

Resun follows Hector, also putting on a vac suit while maintaining a conversation, "I'll see what I can do for him. He then heads over to the refectory, continuing to tag along with him. While he does this, he seemed to be thinking about the Mac problem quietly.

"Artificial. Doubles as spacesuit. Am naturally aquatic. Require support structure for effective movement in gravity, non-aquatic enviroments. Do you have aquatic environments? Seems unlikely."

Once the Lunar goes to meet our new friend, head to the refrectory to meet him there.

I am Culla. I am Calcinite." She said again, the mechanical voice stressing the syllables.

"YOU WHAT!"

A (slightly muffled) voice shouts from inside the ship, followed by (again muffled) stomping, getting less muffled as they come closer, approaching the refectory. The door opens as Nick stomps in (unmuffled) and begins to speak (muffled).

This muffling was, of course, due to the large medical respirator on his face. It is the type many human doctors use when contamination is not an option, a large cloth 'mask' that covers the mouth and nose, with an addition of dark safety-glasses covering his eyes. His head was covered in a semi-clear-plastic hat that almost resembles a grocery bag. The rest of him was covered in oversized, robe-like green scrubs, save his hands which had their own non-latex gloves.

"You...Made first contact with an Alien Species without even contacting me?! You robbed me of my chance to glance not only an unseen species, but a thinking one!? Do you think you run this ship or something human girl? Oh, we have two of those now don't we... What was the moon one's name again? I think it was Mary or something..."

He shakes around a stack of papers in his hands as he rants. They are, of course, detailed pictures of the 'Dragon's' insides, mostly focused around guessing the plasma mechanism. Notes on the borders mostly focus around the potential use of  this, from plasma-grenades to star-ship engines that run on food, and the heat-resistant mechanism necessary to get this done without injuring the organism (uses for which include plasma-resistant armor and safety lining).

He finally sighs, lowering his arms to resting position as he turns to the aliens aboard his own ship.

"Ah, seeing you fine Specimens always calms me down...Truly, even in dark times like this you are my Lights! Hector might even help me avoid situations like this in the future, if he would just let my Study him more...I theorize it would only take a few hundred thousand or million of his species' brains to communicate instantly without any delay with anyone in this quadrant of the entire galaxy! Speaking of potential uses, Culla, I believe many of these Creatures have parts you would do best to bio-integrate. Ah, what a wonderful ability! If I could choose any power in all of existence, that would be my first choice. Truly a power after my own Heart..."

He looks up, around the room again, briefly wondering why he left his locker.

"Oh, right, the New Specimen! What is their name? What are their nervous and circulatory systems like? Do they have any recently dead comrades I could borrow?"
