@Extended Opening: WHOA WHOA WHOA, there's some plot here. I don't think that anyone has ever confirmed that Garnet would not be accepted in Gem Society, but the song makes that seem to be the case. Also, Amethyst gets shoved to the back, as usual.

No it has been pretty confirmed. There are exactly two episodes that deal with it.

And Amethyst getting shoved into the back I think has more to do with her personality. She is interesting but can get rather grating.

I'm trying to remember what the other example was...all I can think of right now is Jasper in Jailbreak, but that could easily be chalked up to something particular about Jasper's personality/past, and not the Gem Homeworld as a whole. What was the other one?
