Karolina manages to keep away long enough to switch her weapon, but can't bring the sword up in time to divert the blow from the lance. 118 damage.

Draw back into middle range, switching Rhongomiant to blaster mode and returning the earlier favour.

Karolina, meanwhile, tries to close the distance between them, assuming Alexis actually manages to get away. If she doesn't, she just attacks her with the sabre.

Alexis fires upon Karolina as she closes in, hitting twice for 116 damage, although the substantial shields shrug it off as she makes it in close.

Alexis attempts to use Karolina's momentum to get it to impale White Dragon on Rhongomiant. Even if it doesn't exactly destroy the suit, it should still give Alexis some more damage on the White Dragon.

Alexis stabs Karolina's IS, and although the shields prevent it from doing damage to the suit, it does a lot of damage to the shields. 236 damage, to be precise. ((There was a natural 20 there, plus the Close Combat skill, so a critical.)).

At the same time, Karolina manages a solid slash on Alexis for 147 damage.
