Anyone interested is getting a human named after you? Your family line could continue for generations!

::EDIT::

Constructing a 6 story apt building. 36 residents. Going to need three of them to keep up with current population.

I don't want to run out of space, so it might be all vertical from here. Might create walkways after the 6th z, have an upper and lower city.

I like the idea of an upper and lower city. Bonus points if you have refuse dumps in the lower.

You can give me a human, any human, named Varnish.

You are Varnish Peakway, highest skilled Mason in Blazecook. He's responsible for a large portion of the stonework in the city, and one of the starting 7.

Spoiler: Varnish, Expert Mason (click to show/hide)

The giant Spospo Zexosmoz has come! A gigantic creature resembling a human, almost unparalleled in size.

Blazecook has only one line of defense: Militia Commander Zealroofs, and her apprentice Ecod Dapenino (sounds Italian). Ecod is still a competent swordsman with a wooden training sword, so Zealroofs is going to handle this one, single combat.

COMBAT REPORT

Spospo made it to the outer gate in the palisade, chasing two war dogs away. He walked into the city, and stopped dead between the two largest buildings, the under-construction apartments, and the inn/tavern/hall. After standing motionless for a few minutes, he was suddenly overcome by fear and bolted back out of the city.

I guess he had never seen a structure taller than he was. Zealroofs (having just awoken from a fine sleep) sets out to pursue.

Her first response upon meeting a giant, presumably the first of its kind to come into contact with humanity, was to sock it in the face giving it a black eye.

Spoiler: First Blood (click to show/hide)

The fight came to a quick and bloody conclusion soon after. Victory to Zealroofs!

Spoiler: Flawless Victory (click to show/hide)

Can I have a dorf Human? :P

Name: Bregolan
Gender: M, preferably, but if no men are available, I'll take female.
Profession: Any military, preferably sword.

Thanks!

The only apprentice of Militia Commander Zealroofs is now named Bregolan Fondledsea (lol). He has spent a year training with MC Zealroofs, and is now a proficient Swordsman and adequate Dodger. His weapon is currently a Grown-Wood 2h sword, but that will change once we melt down some of the iron goods we traded for.

He is 29 years old, and one of the first of his kind. His mental and physical stats are astounding with only disease resist and empathy lower than average.

Hey guys I have a problem.

I have a persistent crash. About 5 minutes after I load up the save, it crashes. I modified the raws to allow playable humans, but I've done this many times before with no ill effects.

Can't figure it out. Any ideas as to what I could look for? If I have to start over with dwarves or something, I will, but it was just getting good.

If you are building multilevel buildings, make sure a tree hasn't grown over a designation. That usually crashes me in any above ground fort. Also, please human or dorf if restart is inevitable. I'd like to be military male if possible, or a brewer if you have one of them.

Will do, I'll check that immediately. I've had a lot of trees grow back, and I recently designated the entirety of the city for wild plant gathering.

I think it's time that MC Zealroofs took another student.

They didn't built it because it was a pyramid of death? That's a stupid reason. That like saying I don't want chocolate ice cream because it's delicious.

This is what DF does to people.
