If this is going the way it sounds, you might get the milk from a different source.

Maybe I just want a petting zoo to teach people to hug and love and cuddle with goats instead of eating them. Elves, you know.

Nahh, you guys will probably laugh when you realize what I want her for. Though given how high the required other costs are, we might not be finding out for a while.

Well here's the actual income per industry:

Lumber mill: 350c- 70 for workers – 15 for staff – 35 for taxes/food = +230c
Blacksmith: 325c- 25 for worker – 15 for staff – 35 for taxes/food = +255c
Orchard: 300- 25 for workers – 15 for staff – 10 for taxes = 250c
Mines: 400 – 80 for workers – 15 for staff – 35 for taxes/food= 270c
Butcher shop: 300 – 10 for special workers – 10 for taxes- = 280c
Sorcerers shop: 600- 200 for supplies – 80 for workers – 35 for food/taxes = 285c

I just haven't applied it to each character yet. Go ahead and post for your turn using these numbers. If you made a deal with someone this turn, it will take effect starting next turn.

(using this to get some character interaction going.)
Avery stops Victor (He doesn't know his name.) in the street, "I'm sorry, but do you know a place where I could procure bounties on criminals? I need to know so I can shi- Get some money of course!" you also notice that he has a companion, another fellow with a cap, his companion's pants are in constant motion.

Funniest thing I have read all day. I'm sitting here chucking into my quesadilla and I've never felt more alive.

I'm not gonna tell him about, us, I'm just telling him about magic, and demons, and maybe just a little bit about vampires.

Hahahaha only rule broken in the first page.

By someone who stops a random in the street to tell them no less.

Clearly it's not an issue for individual humans to know. There are already mixed factions with humans in them. Obviously some humans already know. Presumably it's only a problem if The Masquerade is broken. The guy telling his tavern buddies that "demons are real! I met one!" isn't any different from some guy in real life insisting that he was abducted by aliens. Related, I notice that we have human factions like the Church of the Day devoted to exterminating non-humans. So it's already more than individuals. There are entire organizations out there that know, but the "consensus reality" is that such things aren't real and the common man doesn't believe it. I suspect it will take a lot more to break the Masquerade than yet one more raving drunkard saying that the churches are right, demons are real.

I wonder though, about factions like the Seekers. If they're here to promote racial harmony, presumably breaking the Masquerade is part of their goal. Not sure how you can have harmony without the majority of humans even knowing the rest of us exist.

Ahh, here we go:

Some humans know. Like sorcerers.

So yes, some humans know, and some humans are not only aware of magic, but able to use it too. If Avery takes Victor into the fold, it's business as usual. If he doesn't, it's still not a big deal.

You're missing the few little bits about how he didn't KNOW Victor.
He's not hiring, he's literally some random he approached on the street and asked about sorcerer's shops.

I mean, I'm finding it hilarious that hiddenleafguy immediately assumed that he'd know about the magical underworld because he's a PC, so the whole shtick which armach had made about the muggle mercenaries comes unglued in the first page.
Just cracks me up.

I didn't expect him to not know about magic, because there are wizards that openly advertise, a bunch of wizard's shops around the market place, and a mage's guild in the city of blackwater. I didn't expect him to know about vampires, werewolves, or anything else. And it would be too suspicious if I just said "Good day sir" and left.
