No, he hasn't written anything up yet, as far as I know. All the houses are looking good so far, though I wonder why everyone hates death :/ All well.

Actually, I had planned to set it up so that they were roughly in two 'camps' of vampire politics. I wanted it to make sense-people tend to have different ideals, and they tend to gather in groups that support those ideals. Also, I have not written the members of the other party yet...

War, Conquest, and Torment generally favor controlling/hunting/torturing humans, but not total extinction. They are the factions most friendly toward one another-essentially, the ruling bloc. They are much more 'right wing' party in these matters, essentially the Totalitarianist party.

Death, Pestilence, and Famine favor total genocide/nass destruction of the human race, with their own separate means. They tend to be more on their own, with varying reputations with the other houses-they are not as close knit, but they will obviously work together if it benefits them. They don't really have a 'left wing' reference, they are more the Nihilism Party.

I don't think I can let you have necromancy. It's more of a Death Magic than a Vampiric magic. I'm thinking about removing the magic system as a whole anyway. Have it where you learn magics from books and teachers, instead.

Is there still interest in this game? I apologize for taking a while on this, just been procrastinating. I still want to get it going, just been checking out other games along the way.

Alright, ready to start up the game. However, I'd like to start off in HQ, instead of starting off on a mission. We could go with a vampire pocket dimension, which is like a massive castle. Also, you go to different locations by shadow gates, which are pretty much what you'd think they are. You teleport to the desired location through the shadows and other pitch black areas. Also, remove your chosen vampire and house magics from you character sheets. Gonna see about having magic be the vampire equivalent of research in XCOM. Last, should there be vampires who oppose the 6 main houses? The vampire gift is very much a disease that makes you evil, so how could we make opposing vampire factions, who favor NOT screwing over humans?

I'm always a truth and justice sorta guy, I could play as a house that opposed screwing over humans if you needed one. I think having a set size for the pocket dimension (say large instead of massive castle) would be more approapriate to the number of vampires we have. I'm not sure how many NPC vamps you have planned, so I guess it could vary. All and all I'm ready to start.

Do we have to remove it, or can we leave it in on there for future reference?

Go ahead and keep it for future reference if you want. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to get magic to function yet.

There could be several different sorts of factions that oppose the players, really...I could even write them up!

But I still need to finish the rest of the vampire houses...

Cool, but as a guideline for the vampires.

1. They all belong to the 6 houses. They were born through the houses, so that's how they'll be in general.

2. All vampires originally belonged to the 6 houses before they rebelled for humanity, and they all did at least a horrible thing before they defected. The ritual requires the initiate to prove themselves first, and it is always a horrible act in some form or fashion.

3. They are fighting against their vampire half. The vampire gift is very much a disease that consumes the host. The older they become, the more vampire like they become. To defect against their vampire self is very much an uphill battle, and they will eventually lose, either by becoming mindless or by losing the little humanity they had left.

I was thinking of non-vampire opposed factions as well, or is that outside of the scope of the game?

Yeah, non-vampire factions are there too. There are humans, dhampirs, and vampires. Dhampirs were more powerful than vampires, without any weaknesses. They used magic, and that's really what's left of them. Humans killed all of them because they were so strong. The Dhampir were so angry over the genocide that they broke out from the grave and pulled an Attack on Titan on the humans. Before they were all killed however, the Dhampir showed mercy and left them be. They made the vampire disease to kill them off for them if the humans ever forgot what they did. So that's where the vampires came from. All other magical creatures and objects are the result of Dhampir and Vampire magic. Werewolves are vampires, btw. They're most common under the house of war and famine.
