To convert a human to a vampire is in 3 stages.

Declaration: Declare you want to be a vampire. It's the vampires' choice to accept to decline. If the human accepts, he gains minor vampiric abilities.

Demonstration: The human must prove himself to the vampires who are converting him. If he does so, he will be eligible for the next step. Otherwise, he will stay this way, or if he fails, he will die by the vampires' whim.

Integration: He will die by way of the House. He will then be reborn a vampire.
Does the first stage change your diet to blood? Ca we extract blood from someone without killing them?

Integration: He will die by way of the House. He will then be reborn a vampire.

Such as cannibalism by the House of the Glutton, or death by torture by the House of Torment? Or is the method of death something just chosen by the head of the House?

Also, how does the immortality work exactly? Do people stop aging the second they're Turned? If a body part is severed, will the body part shortly return to the body? And if it does, can the part be buried to prevent its reattachment?

Yes, he dies by way of what the House represents. People stop aging, but gain a more monstrous appearance the more they age. Those of War have blood red eyes, and become more dragon-like, for example. I like the idea of limbs reattaching themselves when a vampire wills it, so yeah, that's a thing. If a vampire permanently loses a limb, however, he can drink fresh blood to rapidly regenerate. They don't regenerate unless they have a life force reserve, however.

No, you're a human with minor vampiric abilities in this stage, and yes, you can extract blood without killing a human. Drinking blood is a primal urge, however, so you must have a strong will to resist sucking the victim dry if you bite into the victim, but mechanical extraction is possible. Blood stays fresh for a decent amount of time, I'd say a day outside of the human body before becoming stale.

Sounds neat. Can't wait to play. The RPG system looks good too. Will you be adding any supernatural things other than the vampires?
Kinda. There will be zombies, which are vampires who attempted to resist their calling, and try to live like a human. The blood curse they held made them into mindless monsters. Otherwise, magic should do a decent job of making other creatures, like Dhampyr-possessed vampire hunters, or Lycan Vampires.

I use my phone all the time. I can read the pdf just fine. I just click the pdf link, and press "go to iBook". The book is rather deep, and I'd rather not type it up, so I'd just explain things as is goes along otherwise.

Character creation

1. Make up a name, sex, age, hair color, etc. Make them unique and add some life to your characters.
2. Select one attribute and four abilities, and increase these ratings by +1. For example, Change their strength from ST=2 to a ST=3.
3. Select two abilities and increase these ratings by +2, or select one ability and increase it by +3.
4. If you're creating a role playing game character (not a peasant, common citizen, monster, or soldier) then add +2 to your character's Life Force (only +1 for the Nightstalker race).
5. Roll your character’s Life Force (LF) rating one time. Turn your lowest die to a six before adding them up. This roll determines the maximum Hit Points (HP) value for the life of your character.
Good or bad, your character is stuck with it. Write down your maximum HP some place safe and permanent

I'm confused, do we pick a race from the pdf or are you going to give us vampire stats

Giving waitlisted people the ability to murder non-responsive players was a great idea. Need to do that more often.

What should we do for the strategic system and diplomacy? What would be a good system for that part of the game?

Diplomacy? Just rp it. Strategic system? As in decisions and such? 1d6 or 1d20 would suffice. If you mean something like base construction and such I think it'd be best to homebrew something up; it wouldn't be difficult to come up with some facilities, their effects and costs.

Alright, thanks. I don't think die rolling will be necessary for the strategy stage, imo it would feel kinda thrown in anyway. I'll be pretty loose considering base building and research. There won't be a currency, you would need the resources to build it, however, and approval from the vampiric council, which could take awhile, and possibly vetoed. You can illegally make something, just be careful and make sure no council vampires discover it.

Also, instead of the different factions of vampires, we'll all be part of one base. The Houses work kinda like factions. Nothing else will change, it's just that all the vampires now live under one roof, instead of separate factions. Don't change the lore, Dwarmin, keep it like it is.
