Why not mount them on Tigers for now?

tigers are very much not combat-oriented vehicles, if they're on the front lines firing as the hippo would something has gone terribly wrong

the idea is to be cheap to deploy and too fast to hit with their tanks/arty while dishing out tank-tier hits

the struunk is in need of a successor, yes, and we do have some upgraded engine tech we're not putting to use i don't think (the one we liberated with their tank?) so we could use that as an opportunity to outdo them with electronic turbo or something like that

The Jeep is what I would suggest instead of a tiger, to pop up fire, and then be hind a sand dune before they can respond, we know these deserts better than they do.

what we want to do is to get our hands on the ships' worth of patents that will be shipped off to the us in the 40s, as that rather obviously will give us a big boost in most areas

maybe even send a division-sized expeditionary to fight in the european theatre? see if we can get some fancy war loot
