There's one problem with that Gunin, and that's the fact we have nothing to do the towing.

partial to it

on one hand it's a goddamn katyusha that's the best thing

but the delicious aeronautics advances mean we can mustard gas their capital sooner

we could tow it with a horse if we insisted, or make it self propelled like we did with the earlier gun

We've got three all-terrain armored vehicle platforms. All you have to do is use a rope or add a trailer hitch to it. :v And of course there's always horse power.

we are the best engineers

we'll never fix the stallion being shit at turning, either

That being said, I'd much rather have something that A: Builds up on our air superiority or B: Fixes the one problem we have on the plains that'll allow us to roll over Arstotzka's defenses, thus nullifying the resources they're getting.

I'll vote for designing a Fighter-Bomber design with at least one Stallion.

I also vote to offer the T1 Smasher to the soviets, on the grounds that the enemy doesn't have any tank worth the name at all and we might well win that Expense Credit by default. (And if we can bring the Smasher down a cost level, we should be able to do some real damage with it.)

For reversion, I'd suggest Reversing our Sawed-off Shotgun into a Pump Action Sawed-off Shotgun, which if we're lucky will count for that 'powerful, concealable weapon' the other group wants and give us both bonuses. It'll also give us an even better advantage in close combat.

Or we could just offer the shotgun up with no modifications.

As for the biplane, more than one stallion would be pushing things as we only have one or two places to puch such a weapon at this moment.

Also, no offering the Smasher to the soviets, they are like arstotzkans, only bigger and nastier (And more likely to be dealt with by the other great powers)

We could really really use the expense credit and it doesn't hurt us at all to offer. We aren't spending any more actions on the smasher and it keeps the arstotzkans from getting by default if they think to offer their giant lumbering steam tanks, which for all their other failures can be very intimidating to ignorant infantry.

We could offer up the shotgun as is, sure, but as is it's a two shot breech loader which isn't very impressive. Unlike the Sub-Machine Gun though, it's not Expensive, so if we can get it to pump action without making it more costy it becomes the kind of close range weapon you can hand out squad deep, and we could really use some better trench fighting in the plains and another edge in the jungle.

(And the arstotzkans already have more resources then us anyway, if they get the expense credit we might end up very screwed. It doesn't matter if they have shit planes if they can make ten of them for each one we have, and I'd really prefer not coming up against 'cheap enough to hand out to entire squads' type sub machine guns. Or, hell, if they slapped in on the AS-T15 their steam tank suddenly hits 'mass production' cheapness, and even though it's a sucky tank we really really don't need to loose even more grounds in the plains from a sudden giant tank rush.)

if we get this many edges, we should start thinking about improving our cold weather engineering

the arstotzkans being unable to operate in deserts well is what held them away from entering our glorious motherland, if you remember

If we take the plains, atleast enough to deny the resources to Arstotzka, we're going to have a large advantage over them due to air superiority. Hence, the expense credits aren't going to be useful for us, and they'll only get an extra years use out of their airforce and armour.

I'm more inclined to actually win the battle in the Jungle.

....

I request the turn order for this turn be reversed, because we definitely wanted to revise the radio first.

Either way, the radio is at a point where it's good enough, we need to massively revise the treads of our tanks as that's our single point of failure on the plains front. After that, we can see about revising our radio systems or such.

+1 Model 2, Radio Revision

Dogfighter and A-S aircraft is fantastic, especially if they fly in wings with a Model 1 serving as a recon/comms craft.  Fixing the radio not only helps all our troops, it will lighten up the Model 1 enough to improve its manoeuvrability.

Also, names for the planes?  Dragonfly (M1), Hornet (M2)?  Let's not be filthy Arstotzkans and only number our craft.

We don't need to come up with a new design, we can just sell the Russians one of the tank designs we already have and pretend it's new.
