Compared to ours which is just an attempt to build something that can deal with vehicles that doesn't need any ore :P

So, what's the revision for making this cheaper? If we can get it down to VE, and then use our expense credit...glorious.

Experiment with various methods of reducing the labour costs of making the Boulder. Suggested methods include a reinforced wooden container full of gravel/sand and casting with cement.

Yeah, but what you actually have is a rocket with a stone warhead. :p

+1.

((that'll work, right, since the ore price is the total labor of extraction?))

From what I understood its a boulder with a load of rockets strapped onto it to make it roll.

Yes, Sensei said the ore cost was due to the difficulty of finding an appropriate boulder and the labour costs of hollowing it.

+1. Part of me is a bit disappointed that people didn't want to play it out, but at least this'll be funny.

I wonder if it would be cheaper to cast it in steel, and then fill it with sand for weight. Sand is everywhere.

Making that out of concrete is actually... sane. To increase weight, just use heavy metal ores as aggregate.

On that note, bit interesting that in the year 1935 you're tring to invent a better rock.

The production title has never been more fitting.

The Death Ball: Instead of a boulder, it is made of cement with rebair reinforcement. It is rounder (so more likely to go in a straight line) and cheaper. The concrete itself is probably more prone to shedding off due to shell fire, but with its rebar structure it won't split all at once. Costs 4 ore, 2 oil. Not easy to move after construction, but at least cement can be carried by truck where it's needed.
