The problem is that both of these sound like revision things.
Yeah, but they'd both help us more than new artillery. Besides, using a Design phase on either one would be far from a waste. Designing a new RPG would let us get a better warhead, more range, a scope with range markings, and new ammo types. Designing a new scope would let us get it cheaper, without blurriness, and variable zoom.

Glory to Arstotzka.

No treaty? Fine.

These are just bare ideas if anyone really likes any of them I can give a more detailed proposal.

Radium bomb is a bad idea. We can't wait 10 years for the enemy to die of cancer.

I don't think we should care about the mountains. It's simply too hard to get the last bit, since they have heavy firepower and we don't. The best we can hope for is some good artillery to damage their mines.

We could revise our bomber. Drop tanks and actual bomb sight.

It utilizes a geodetic structure, which is inherently resistent to flak.

Don't we have a bomb sight already? I think we should just order them to bomb from low altitude to go around their flaks.

We have a bombsight, but it doesn't have any optics. It's 1:1.

Also, it merely has a table rather than something which can be calibrated automatically.

It's quite primitive. No optics and no enlargement.

I dunno, to me it seems that simply by fitting radio on our gear we'd be making progress.  think some good artillery (rocket artillery maybe) is our best bet. Or design a new tank?

Mortars are the heaviest portable artillery we can use in the Mountains. If they can't damage their mines, then it's impossible. The only thing stopping us from taking the mines is our wonky RPG warhead. Besides, an RPG Revision or Design would be useful on all fronts.

Keep in mind that we have rocket shells and they do exactly jack shit and rocket artillery is only useful in the Desert where RPGs are useful everywhere. Also, we're fighting in the Final Desert which has cliffs, ravines, and caves, so artillery (and especially rocket artillery) is even less useful.

Glory to Arstotzka.

...Actually, with it's speed and dorsal turret, it would be a terrifying low level bomber. +1 to that idea!

As for our design, I'm torn between getting a new RPG or reposting my light tank design(since we need a very good scout for the next part of the desert).

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

How about something like a M79 grenade launcher? It should help in the jungle, give good extra firepower to our mountain troops...

Citation needed.

We have at times, almost disabled their mines by strafing. A 2 ton bomb will shut down mine production fast.

The only thing stopping us are their tanks. I'm not sure if fixing the RPG will allow us to take them out.

Rocket shells and rocket artillery are nothing alike.

The rocket shells are long ranged but ineffective. Rocket artillery is shorter ranged, but highly mobile with high burst fire rates and often large shells. Rocket artillery will be usefull in both desert and Jungle. The cliffs won't change a thing about that, because, as noted by the description, they're comparatively rare.

the grenade launcher is not a bad idea. I always wanted rocket artillery, but I'll admit that I don't think we have much use for it right now.

And as much as I would love to drop all kinds of toxic stuff on their capital to show them that treaties are a good thing, spending a design on a militarily useless bomb and a revision to get droptanks on our bomber is not the way to go.

what are our problems on each front?

1) air: we dominate air to air engagements, but now they have a very significant ground AA advantage. I don't think there is much we can do for this, besides perhaps some means of nocturnal navigation. ( radar, or ebbor's directional radios)

2)Jungle:they have better coordination ( which might or might not be solved next turn, since we didn't specifically design our vehicles to hold radios and so it may not be simple to fit them), and the front is getting away from paratrooper range. small arms here and fine and so is anti tank. I think we would gain most from mobility, therefore I would propose a revision of the bomber to have drop tanks or a landing boat that can let us land behind their lines or an APC so we can escort tanks with infantry.

3) mountains: as always, anti tank. We need a revised RPG or our own recoilless rifle here. a grenade launcher may be of little help, but it isn't winning the anti tank war

4) desert: this is a rocky desert, with caves and crevices. our infantry seems to be able to clear the enclosed spaces more often than not, but their flamethrower is problematic and they are shooting down our bombers. I am a bit lost on  this, but we could get some help from a grenade launcher, a better RPG and, in my opinion, a brand new tank. their increased range is often mentioned, but I believe we can do better with all the armored warfare tech we got. it would be a way to get diesel and electric turrets as well. if cliffs are not common, perhaps a rocket artillery could help.
