Okay how about a lighter IFV?
A-31-IFV
A light tracked vehicle designed to carry a squad of infantry in relative safety and provide close combat support. Has medium RHA on a sloped front and light RHA on all other sides. It is powered by a fuel injected, turbo engine with treads on hydro-pneumatic suspension. Has a crew of two and can carry an additional 10 soldiers with equipment.
Primary weapon is an AS-AC18 on a 360 degree pivot with armored protection for the operator on the top. Secondary weapons are firing ports for infantry to use, four on each side, two on the front and two on the back.
There is a top roof hatch for use with the AS-AC18 which can be used to exit one at a time as well as a main armored door on the back.
-1, doesn't conform to naming scheme. Also, popping out of the hatch to use the autocannon? Firing ports for infantry IN FRONT (how do they even get there, considering it's going to be cluttered with driver, transmission and is going to be sloped)? No machineguns? Turbo engine with
TREADS ON HYDRO-PNEUMATIC SUSPENSION, HOLY SHIT MAN THIS TANK IS SO TANK IT'S ENGINE IS A TANK! Also 10 soldiers? IMHO, we should rather go the way everyone else went and make open toppped (maybe with wire cover that can be opened when you need some more firepower and grenades (when they make them) won't get in) infantry halftrack.
It needs spaced or slanted armor. Lightweight solution against their RR.
We can tell our soldiers to ride our vehicles to protect them from RR,
just like Soviets!
