We have better rifles. Those are all optimized for firerate, not accuracy however

we have held in jungle, we are pressing in the desert and we advanced in mountains.

However, they denied us our historical supremacy in the skies.

I think it is time to go all out on air.
Lets develope a strategic bomber and then revise planes to be cheaper. That will give us superiority again and it will bridge the artillery gap thanks to us being able to drop bombs anywhere.

of course, this design relies on this revision, otherwise we get unsupported bombers.

So ideas:

Design:
-A better, dedicated fighter to recover our superiority in the air.
-A heavy, high-altitude bomber
-Heavy artillery for the plains
-Attack boat for the jungla
-Assault rifle
-Dedicated sniper rifle
-A new, better tank
-Better encryption
-Rocket artillery

Revision:
-Tanks skirt to defeat their HEAT Hippo
-Ammunition upgrade
-Refit our existing planes with turbo

As said above, I am proposing a bomber.

Spoiler: AS-HB-30 heavy bomber (click to show/hide)

fighter would also be good, but I believe we can catch up with a revision.

edit: inspired by this

We're being stalled in the air and in CQC. That we're stalled in CQC despite Moskurg's advantage is a testament to how well we've developed in that area, but I think we can go further.

Design AS-GAU31.
Spoiler: AS-GAU31 (click to show/hide)
Highest priority is getting the above. Second priority is also getting a ghillie suit.

Revise our HF to use less Oil.

Glory to Arstotzka.

Yeah, let's spend yet more design on the uniform!

On the armour, actually. We only ever used Revision phases on our uniforms before. Sensei said to get decent personal armour we need a Design phase. But just think about it, their main weapons in CQC are their SMGs, their pistols, and their shotguns. Getting this armour will negate their SMGs and possibly their shotguns (our current armour is enough to resist them). It's also useful to those who don't move much, like snipers, machine gunners, pilots, tank crews, etc. It'll also make us the world leaders in personal infantry armour.

We already spent a design phase on uniforms. They already have aluminium armor plates.

by the way. I love how the new encryption method their spy devised is basically the one we got with an order.
and it seems the expense credit helped them hold the jungle. I feel they may try to regain their advantage there.

@Andres: we used a design to get our first armor ( armor plates, camouflage and flags on the helmet). we used a revision to get camouflage without flags.

We didn't get it with an order, we got it with a design phase last turn.

I mean, the running the message through the machine 3 times. We just told our guys to do it and they did, while they had a spy invent this trick.

of course being able to encrypt at all was our design phase.

Ah, so we did. The aluminium armour plates were given in the Revise phase, though; after we actually developed an aluminium industry. It was in this attempt to make our armour stop 7.62mm bullets that Sensei said we'd need a Design phase to do so. He cited angling and other design features as the reason.

and it seems the expense credit helped them hold the jungle. I feel they may try to regain their advantage there.
Yeah, that is a problem. I don't think they'll try to increase their presence there with a new tank but it is a cause for concern.

I have a much better idea than revising our plane to use less fuel. We use a revision action to get a few more ammo types. Getting tracers will be devastating for the enemy airforce, and getting High explosive fragmentation ammo for our auto cannon will hurt them significantly as well.

Then we can throw in APHE, HEAT, hollow point or whatever to boost ground forces as well.

It should be noted that running the message through the machine three times should not affect our ability to decrypt at all, since it's just a substitution cypher after all.

Anyway, why don't we design some kind of big, nasty howitzer for the cities? We have a ton of ore, let's make a real heavy artillery.

Is it?

I thought each letter moved the codesheet, thus changing the substitution constantly.
