Next turn we should spend  design action to reverse-engineer Brumby and make a light machinegun\heavy automatic rifle based on it. Not a copy but rather mix of their and our ideas. I actually promise to vote for it next turn should landmines win now

Not now I ask everyone to vote for landmines. It should be enough to hold our part of jungles. It is a boring but practical solution

Oh, our SMG is technically concealable... We should offer it up.

Offer AS-T15 to Soviets, AS-MC16 to the unknown group.
Moskurg probably wouldn't think to submit their basic pistol. They'd probably spend a Design or Revise phase focusing on a new design instead, or rather they would if they didn't unfairly spy on our plans like they always do. -1 to giving our MC16 to the unknown group. We have no idea who these guys are. For all we know, they could spread our design to all four corners of the world. Moreover, it prevents us from selling the design later.

Offer our T15 to the Red Army, it being the only Forenian tank capable of working in the snow. Offer our pistol, our landmine, and our Sawed-Off Shotgun to the unknown group.

Next turn we should spend  design action to reverse-engineer Brumby and make a light machinegun\heavy automatic rifle based on it
No dude. Revising our SMG is absolutely vital to winning. Their new smoke grenades force us into short range encounters where SMGs are much more important than LMGs. Moreover, we could upsize the SMG after we make it cheap, getting a version of it that's an assault rifle.

Glory to Arstotzka.

Hes talking about downsising the LMG to make it an assault rifle.

Where did you pull that info out of? Selling a weapon to one dude does not let us sell it elsewhere?

As for them selling it all round the world, who cares? We cant sell it to anyone who does not ask us anyways..

Hes talking about downsising the LMG to make it an assault rifle.
He's talking about reverse-engineering enemy technology, downsizing it to make a heavy assault rifle (good concept but not for CQC), and making sure they'll both be cheap enough to stand up against cheap SMGs. All within the same Revise phase. It's honestly not a bad idea but the situation calls for a different solution.

I guess you're right. It just feels weird selling the best small weapon we have (two 6's in design) for a mere Expense credit.

Glory to Arstotzka.

If we dont sell it, the Moksburgian will.

Offer our SMG and sawed-off shotgun to the Mafia, offer the T15 to Russia.

Spoiler: A-R20 (click to show/hide)

If its small enough, we can revise some of our vehicles to include it.

Designing a backpack radio in one turn seems unlikely, considering Moksburg spent an entire turn getting it under half a ton.

SMGs is your pet project and you overvalue its effectiveness.

LMG can change tides in mountains, SMGs can't.

Remember how we wasted revision on improving the carabine? Helps us so much, doesn't it?

Make own own BAR or something little heavier. Yes

next turn Design phase, not revision. And not exactly reverse-engineering

I don't want to counter SMG because there are no need to counter SMG.

10ebbor10, they rolled badly, and we have the advantage of being later and grasping inspiration from their design. And if we fail, we still have a radio.

The GM straight up said that it was extremely effective in the battle report.

LMG can change tides in mountains, SMGs can't.
We can get the LMG once we've stalemated them in the Jungle. We really can't let them get more resources than they already have.

Remember how we wasted revision on improving the carabine? Helps us so much, doesn't it?
The same could be said for Hydropneumatic Suspension which we chose over cheap SMGs.

EDIT: The revised carbine replaced our Nosin in the Jungle and the battle rifle version did some good in the Mountains.

We got plains with it resources? Did we win the war? It is important but not essential

Anyway, It is irrelevant because we have no other choice but fix the aircraft during revision phase. And I don't want to talk more about wunderwaffe SMG and will patiently wait till we get our landmines

Honestly 1 thing we must not forget is that the GM is not an expert in military history.

Also, it should be noted that they will need to hold it for one turn and build some kind of logistic improvement to get that ressource. It could be worthwhile to let them have it for one turn then counter-attack so they waste design on a truck.

They could get themselves entrenched or develop their own landmines.
