We could order our men to desant. Also, at this rate, they'll win the design credit.

how are you so certain?
only me and baffler posted, and my propaganda piece is more targeted toward a possible immigrant. Still, if you have ideas post them ( also, this evening I'll post a correction to my propaganda, because I noticed the ribbon at the top is blue and not centered)

What for? Rockets on plane, sur, but rocket boost?

Also, we will have to design a jet engine soon if we're to keep to our "10 years ahead of IRL" schedule.

We could go for a motorjet, I suppose.

Not much need though.

Gotta go fast, gotta go higher, gotta have shorter runways (RATO), gotta climb faster. Gotta "tactical retreat" from enemy planes.

Only RATO really works there.

For all the others, you need an actual rocket engine, and then you get the traditional rocket engine problem, fuel.

If anything, this seems like an idea for Moskurg. Rocket planes are pretty much useless for anything but point defense.

I'm not saying we should put only a rocket engine, but a rocket boosters. IIRC, Germans put rocket booster on some Me262s so they could gain altitude and speed faster, leading to better response time. Or just used at pilots discretion.
EDIT:
Did I mention that, in fact, you GOTTA GO FAST?

We don't need better response time though. We have nothing to respond too, as we rely on patrols to spot attacking enemies.

we already have the fastest, fastest climbing, higher climbing air plane currently deployed and I don't think shorter runways are in any way significant in this game unless we have an aircraft carrier.
