They stand no chance (I made it in Paint, I know it's bad. Also, based on some renders from somewhere in OOC thread).
I propose that next year we design parachutes for safe tiger delivery.

Well, it was Paint.net so I think that explains it.

We are on a small island
We're on a continent, actually. A continent large enough to hold three separate biomes.

Glory to Arstotzka.

Five biomes. Grassland, jungle, taiga, desert, mountain.

You would think that there would be small "buffer zones" between them, like savannas, hills, forests, stuff like that.

Just thought I should mention this but we have no need to design parachutes. Our spy activated his parachute pants when he fell off a cliff and or Ace activated his parachute when he fell off his plane.

That's fortunate.
So we already know what will be our most important project next year.

Right, why do you say that? In all likelihood, they are gonna throw something at us that will make us design a counter.

 Or have you been spying.

I've been against looking at the others' thread since day one. What I will say is that they nearly stole our camouflage at one point so they definitely have an interest in buffing their infantry. If they get camo equal to our own, they'll certainly be able to push us out of the Jungle unless we develop non-rare CQC weapons.

Glory to Arstotzka.

We dont have any rare CQC weapons. What we do have is a squad level CQC weapon, and many, many forms of individual CQC weapons. Honestly, this is one of the reasons why half the thread was getting tired of you insisting on giving the SMG to everyone. I mean, whats the point of a SMG for everyone? It means that A) the unit is all but useless at any range but short or that B) everyone is lugging about about six guns.

The SMG isn't a squad level CQC weapon though, it's an officer level CQC weapon. At the moment, 1 in 5 of our soldiers in the Jungle are equipped with one when the number should be 3 in 5 (with the other 2 using F14s), as demonstrated by the year they were temporarily made cheap. We don't need everyone with an SMG but we only have a third the amount of soldiers with them as we actually need.

Glory to Arstotzka.

EDIT:
An SMG-armed squad backed up with one or two AS-F14 marksmen can make quick work of even fierce Moskurg troops in tight quarters and forts, and superior armor means that they can usually get close.
The info in the OOC OP says that a squad is 5 to 10 people, so we either have a third of the SMGs we need or an eighth of the SMGs we need.

EDIT2: The only CQC weapons that I see we have are our Sawed-off shotgun (which is Expensive and officers thus have to choose between it and the SMG), our MC16 (the SMG), and the 1909 (our perpetually jamming pistol). I'm not sure what makes you think we have "many, many forms of individual CQC weaons".

The grenades we just did. Those are CQC weapons.

Quote
Expensive equipment can be given to officers, or one per squad (5-10 soldiers)

Thats about the levels that SMGs are used in the military thesedays. One per squad.

Well, except special squads, but since the quote you gave talks about a squad of just SMGs...
