Cyryl shook his head. "Nah, just keeping an eye on Eneas. He's from Sanctuary, and is from some bigshot family. Higher ups want him off our soil though, so they can use him as a bargaining chip without leaving a reason for the Sanctuarians to invade to recover him."

[GiglameshDespair]

"Cyryl?"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Yeah Larini, what's up?"

[GiglameshDespair]

"This spider is wondering why Eneas attacked a tree and lost."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Oh, I see. I think I remember hearing that this mission was about protecting someone as much as it was exploring. So... are you also from Pasive?"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Er, yeah. Though-" Cyryl's train of thought crashed into the station, killing an incredible number of bystanders. "I- Wh- Eneas did what to who now?"

[GiglameshDespair]

"He attacked the forest, and the forest won."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I don't get it. How do you attack a tree and lose? Did he run into a low hanging branch, maybe?"

[GiglameshDespair]

"He was like kzshoom-" she wiggled her talons in front of her "-and then the tree hit him."

Cyryl had just about heard enough. Larini had to have made some kind of mistake. "Eneas, what the hell are you doing back there?" The answer definitely couldn't be 'fighting a tree'.

: "...The treeeeees... Ughhhh..."

"And this is what my life has become." Cyryl grabbed his face with his free hand. "For the love of all that is good, why am I an ocean away from home with people I barely know? Why am I out here baby sitting a Sanctuarian with a vendetta against trees? Why? Why?"

"Isn't this more fun, though?"
