The poor boy had little time to duck as a battle ax went sailing over his head and chopped on poor salty soul to bits. He turned to see his savior. Eneas' voice cracked upon making the mistake of gazing upon General Torves' truly frightening visage. He muttered a quick prayer for safety from evil looking men and spoke up the best that he could over the din of battle.

: "Gaha... Please don't kill me. M-my name is Eneas Domini, sir. I wish to cross the border."

[F.O.E.]

General Torves quietly chuckled to himself; until, that is, he heard the name Domini.

"And why would a Domini boy want to cross the border; especially into Passan territory?"

It was very apparent that Eneas' life could very well end if he answered incorrectly.

Unfortunately, Eneas didn't have a good answer. His voice halted for a moment, and the world spun for a lack of an answer. After a few brief moments, he chokes out a reply.

: "I ah...."

: "To be honest, I-I don't know."

: "A f-few days ago... I saw my father perform an inexplicable act... There was a man- No. A monster begging for his life. A-and he killed him. Just like that."

: "Now. Let's make one thing clear. I love my father dearly. In my eyes, there is no greater man that walks this earth than he. But I cannot understand why he would do such a thing; to kill a suppliant in cold blood, no matter who or what that man may be. Of the Lady's greatest gifts, love and mercy are her virtues. So that a man or creature should be beyond that... I d-don't know. But I do know that I cannot rest until I understand this. And until I reach that understanding, I cannot abide in Sanctuary."

His eyes drifted back to the battle. Notably to the bodies of the fallen. A lump grew in his throat.

: "I must go. I have promised the commander here that I would aid in repelling this attack. Please excuse me."

He shifted south to 11,13 and pulled out an elaborate Vulnerary bottle to heal the mage with.

: "Arise young maiden. You allies need you."

[F.O.E.]

Torves grunted.

"Very well then. However; I would like to speak with you after everything has settled down." Perhaps there's hope for Sanctuary yet.
