"Those don't seem Sanctuarians. Commander Torves told us of a party and that does not seem like one."

"These aren't Sanctuarians. I'm certain of that."

Andala looked at Hannah, then at the party, then crossed her arms.

"I will believe if they won't attack the naga on sight."

"They aren't. And again, there is no guarantee that there are any of the non-human species where they come from. Fear would be an understandable reaction, and could prompt either attack or fleeing."

"Maybe there are no monsters where they come from but if they came here on a boat then they should realize there are monsters, you can do all the talking if it makes you happy.  They probably are smarter then kill an unknown thing on sight especially if it's with humans."

[Twinwolf]

"Why would coming on a boat mean they should know there are monsters?"

"Your highness if I knew for certain I would surely answer you with certainty. Why not ask that pirate, he's surely more well versed than I."

The pirate in question turned towards the pair, his arms folded across his chest.

"I tol' yeh both before. I ain't ne'er been out past me hideout. This is as new ta me as it is ta yeh."

"How do we know we can trust you, pirate scum?"

Before more words could be said a soldier ran up to the trio and took a knee.

"Milord! It seems there are people heading towards our ship. They don't appear to be hostile, though some of them look a tad strange."

"Feh, we'll settle this later pirate. For now I want everyone ready to charge at any second and the ballista trained on whichever one gets the closest. I'll not have us come all this way to die to some locals because we gave them the benefit of the doubt. The second they do anything suspicious they need to be eliminated."

Of course, I'd prefer if we could instead form an alliance with them. Iris knows we need it.
