: "And ssssstay down!" Mahkin hissed as the final mercenary was taken out by their combined magics. She sighed as he died, moving a stray hair away from her face.

: "Good job, girls... And thank you, sir... Uh, I didn't get your name. I'm Mahkin. This is Festenia and Katia. The girl who want into the house is Melua. Thank you for the help, really."

She didn't quite no what else to say! She wasn't expecting to find anyone outside of the rebel group that would help monsters. They'd lucked out.

The man with the wagon wanted some more answers, though. "What he said is right, but... Well, it's more complicated than that. We're with the resistance, and we were with a bigger group, but the four of us split off from them to try and give the rest a better running chance. We pulled a small bit of them away, and I think one of their bosses," she said, motioning to Gil, "but the rest of them are either still giving chase or coming back to meet up. We should probably get going, away from the sound of that fighting. Is Melua-- the girl who ran into your house, is she okay?"
