Why no more soul eating? It's a great powerboost.
You yearn to taste the souls of the dead once more, but if this hunger overtakes you, it could be disastrous.

Though the castle is consecrated and the reliquary taken to heaven along with the cult, there still might be something useful left. "Red Killer, scour the remnants of the castle. Find what you can."

She gleefully skips into the blood-soaked castle ruins, leaving the whimpering boy by your side. Red Killer comes back out in a matter of minutes, exclaiming that she found the church's tributes; a small fortune of cash. The undead have no need for money, of course, but the living do. However, you don't have a means to haul your loot, not unless your zombie pack-mules collapse mid-journey. You need more durable servants.

You order what little zombies you have to gather the corpses to where you are. There seems to be much more bodies usable for reanimating than you expected! Though Red might not make a good necromancer, she can still help you prepare the bodies. She 'coerces' the boy to help as well, once you've taught her how to mark the body and drain the blood.

Naturally, the two children mess up some of the corpses. However, many of them are done well, and reanimation goes smoothly. The dead you raise do not shuffle anymore, nor do they moan or groan. Of course, they're far from your best work, but these are much better than the makeshift army you had.

You realize it's been almost an entire day. Such is the preparation and dedication to raise truly formidable undead. Red Killer is soundly asleep in a blood-spattered house on a bed caked with dried blood, the boy laying frightful and awake beside her. You sealed his wounds earlier, ensuring that he wouldn't die prematurely. It's night again...

You hunger for another soul. Raising from the ground once more, enveloped by ancient spirits, you begin another ritual. However, you cannot find a suitable soul worth all the time and trouble. You could try anyway, with a sub-par soul.

Don't bother with a subpar soul. Indulgence leads to excess.

Then, what would you rather do? Asking so I can speed things up a bit.

Look for a graveyard. Town probably has a graveyard. Also how would we go about desanctifying an area?

We started in the graveyard. That's where we got our undead to attack the town. I believe RK was responsible for most of the corpses.

If we ate an angel and a demon at the same time, would we become a god?

Wait until we can raise the remaining paladins and priest, interrogating them when we can about the surrounding area, the priest's powers, and what they were guarding.

Go to our apprentice or our general, whoever's closest. Wipe out all villages along the way. When we get to a village, consume another good soul to get to full power and then no more soul-eating.

Give the boy to RK to torture as we make our journey, but forbid her from killing him. This'll improve her skills and I'm sure that the soul of a child wishing for death is more worth than the soul of a child alone.

Consume another soul to get to full power and then no more soul-eating.

As far as you know, you can't, unless a very powerful demon agreed to help you. Unlikely, considering they all hate you with a vengeance. Or you could get an angel to undo it for you, which is even more unlikely.

If we ate an angel and a demon at the same time, would we become a god?

Wait until we can raise the remaining paladins and priest, interrogating them when we can about the surrounding area, the priest's powers, and what they were guarding. Can't. Priest and unanimated paladins went to heaven, body and all. Undead paladins are now very dead. As I said earlier, you can't die twice.

Already done.

Consume another soul to get to full power and then no more soul-eating. Already done. No good souls here.

Answer to your question: no, that doesn't necessarily make you a god, but in the eyes of mortals, killing a demon and an angel would make you very close to one.

Your general is closer than your apprentice; he's buried in a pyramid in Brutalos down south. Your apprentice is farther northeast, in the frigid, icy wastes, as far as you remember. From what you can tell from Red Killer and the town signposts, there are two towns south; Red Brook and Heartdell, a human military outpost and a dwarven pilgrim-site respectively.

Well what's between us and our apprentice? Any non-holy civilian targets?

Wouldn't a demon want an area desanctified?

Towns to the north are Red Crossing, wilderness fringe town, and Talloak, an elven forest retreat.

Wouldn't a demon want an area desanctified?

Yes, but they'd want payment. Plus they hate you because you did that unspeakable thing and escaped from a hundred year trial with them unscathed, and you stole a bunch of souls from them for your start-up army.

The unspeakable thing, which will be explained in a sufficiently climactic moment.

Shhhhhhhhhh.
If someone says the backstory of a character in their world or even their own character shall be hidden until a good moment, you must stay quiet for maximum dramatic effect.
It's also nice to see people go insane from them wanting to know.
