Should I abolish Tokens and just give the checkpoints the ability to do things via 1d6?

As in, players choose what they want to do or get at a checkpoint, then roll 1d6 for it, 3 times. Yes.
No, let's keep tokens in.
Checkpoints should only get 1 1d6 roll to them, not 3. Otherwise, yes.

I guess I'll join any waitlist that may or may not exist. Also I believe what they're looking for is what sort of parts are actually needed/necessary. Looking into past wacky races may help with this, but guidelines probably wouldn't hurt. This does look more freeform than past races though, which could be nice. You might not NEED wheels with the right vehicle setup. With an unconventional engine, you might not technically need fuel either. Sidenote, do you actually get 3 rolls for new parts on preparation turn 5, or is it strictly vehicle assembly? Anyway, I guess I'll line things up the way I currently interpret it, so you can confirm or deny my suspicions.

Basically correct, yes. Note that turns 6-9 can't be used for parts(didn't quite seem like a good idea to me), but if you must, you can roll for additional parts on turn 5.

Look for nautical stuff to make a sailcar.

Order a Tank chassis that has fair room for modifications to any part of its body

Also order a-lot of mechanisms and leavers.

... ((hahaha... there are limits to the terminal. If you want reliability, use Tokens. If you want free, use the Terminal.))

not jking, i cant imagine how to build whole "killing people truck" with all the equips and the crew.
so i must leave before i became ballast, i am not interested in ruining other ppl expirience.

((Hm. Okay. But first... here's how I would do it.
Each turn, if the roll fails, reroll if necessary.

Turn 1. Basic Motorcycle Frame, normal gasoline engine, small fuel storage tank.
Turn 2. Appropriately sized food/water storage container, good tires, movement stuffs(steering wheel, technical sticky togethery thingies)
Turn 3. Automatic turret in the rear of the vehicle. Ammunition, vehicle repair supplies.
Turn 4. Finishing up the motorcycle basic bits.
Turn 5. Put it together.
Turn 6. Additional ammo, food supplies, energy drink.
Turn 7-8 pretty much that.
Turn 9. Gencorp sponsorship, other nasty gadgets, hired saboteurs.

You don't need crew for all vehicles, just the larger ones. It really isn't that complicated.))
