Bio: Fakhr was born to a family of military tradition in a nation dominated by a dictator. While the political environment was heavy with the threat of forceful silencing dissenting voices, his upbringing was fairly normal despite the stern nature of his father and his teachings, which only grew harder as Fakhr's mother passed away. The boy was quite a good student and since he was a cut above the average but didn't seem too enthusiastic about the possibility of joining the Army despite his father's urgings, he was enrolled into a military academy with the intention of being accepted into the Air Force. Though at first he wasn't too motivated, the thought of piloting a fighter jet slowly eroded his lack of enthusiasm until he had made joining the Air Force as a fighter pilot his ultimate objective. Good reflexes, quick thinking and a battlefield assessment skills meant he was put on that track, though the influence of having relatives in the armed forces also helped his own efforts.
He did finally fulfill his dream and become a pilot, joining the military exercises in his F-16. More than simply joining the Air Force he became a terrific pilot who not only believed his skill was being wasted, but also that the government was corrupt and unworthy of his service. Many of his fellow pilots were loyal to a leader he grew to despise with each passing moment, though his father's connections in the military kept him from doing anything foolhardy. His father's sudden death from heartstroke was simultaneously a sad and liberating event, as he began setting up a escape from the life he had lived so far.
And so he did, using the opportunity created by an off-the-records and unauthorized dogfight between Israeli and Egyptian jets to knock down all of the planes off the skies - including two of his fellow pilots he had slight "disagreements" with - and disappear, landing on a private landing strip of one of his contacts in Saudi Arabia and covering the incident up with the assistance of a bribed pal from the Egyptian Air Force. From there to being contacted by the SOF it didn't take too long.
