Lilly almost ran into Petra, she stopped just before hitting her however.
"I don't know, I don't particularly want to go wherever that portal went to though."

Nick hops into the portal as he puts on a jeep cap. It's his lucky portal hopping cap.

Nick finds himself flung into the air, soaring through hot ashes and fire before landing on the blood red rock below. Pillars of magma flow around him and down the walls, and far off behind him is a vast magma sea. Of course more interesting is the black void far ahead of him, where he notices Melinda.

Lilly gave a look towards the imp and let out a sigh as Nick jumped through,
"That is not comforting"

Nick looks around for a rock or stick like thing for inspection purposes.

He bends at the ground at an awfully suspicious looking rock... what's that? It appears dark, and almost crystalline. With further observation and astute superhuman calculation, he asserts that this is indeed, an igneous rock.
"But Hell is the apex of comfort!"

She, not he, is trying to pick up a scent, is what matters. The scent of the magic and the caster who wielded it.

Nick goes over to the void and sticks half the rock into it.

She once again smells something faintly otherworldly and strange; it is very difficult to describe. Melinda isn't a detective, but she can also smell faint flakes of kevlar on the ashes. Clearly teleportation magic.
The rock seems to fall into nothingness before its atomic structure is obliterated as chaotic forces rend it apart. Nick himself would probably not want to do the same.

"Hmm. Imp. Bring me Keki."

Lilly made a dismissive gesture,
"You're a demon of course you would say that"

Nick taps his chin and writes something down in a notebook.

The demon gave Lilly an insidious grin before jumping through the portal.
"Of course. Keki!"
A ring of flames appeared in front of Skyflame, a small, red imp looking up at her with its crazed, hollow eyes.
"Y-Y-Yes..? he said, making an enormous mental effort to not look behind him at the void.
