((Initiative order is a thing. You act in the order that your listed, as well as a dodge roll for anyone that's in the way. Besides that, Think of it this way, you go to cast your lightning when the person behind you suddenly jumps over you right as you go to cast the lightning. You aren't going to be able to stop the spell when you've already cast it and if it's already left your hand then you can't change the direction of it. You can only hope that they move out of the way.))

Lilly turned pale as she saw her attack strike her now monstrous companion, she stood there for a moment not sure what she should do and terrified she had somehow hurt the girl. She turned her eyes towards the only one of the reptiles that weren't engaged, she raised up her clawed hand less confident this time as she pointed a talon at the hound. A bolt of lightning emerged from the tip and was sent flying towards the second hound, she made sure this time that no one else would be in the way of it before firing.

Somehow shrugging off the attack, Lilian again goes for the reptile-dog's neck as she tries to suppress the sick sense of fulfilment, the exhilarated laughter building in her throat. If she let herself lose control, after the creatures were gone there might be another threat to deal with.
