Steal some clothes if possible.
Attempt to talk the first people we see into giving clothes in exchange for our protection, if they don't comply apply fists, don't want to get new clothes bloody.
Yes. Steal Clothes. It's not like morals ever held Kiv back before. He wouldn't have been a scientist in the first place if morality mattered. Only thing that made him different then a serial killer was he had the license to have random people abducted for horrific experiments involving deadly parasites. Kit's just sorta going "wut" at the whole thing.
Seeing as you can't go back you climb over the fence to get to the other side and continue moving on.

Being the rust district not many people come around here if they have a choice, so finding enough clothes for the three of you is a tall order. Eventually you come across two possible pickings! First being a 3 hobos whom seem to be huddled around a fire from a metal barrel, second is a group of 4 men whom are wearing matching yellow and black articles of clothing, one of them has a knife.

Follow the prisoners from a distance, and figure out where they're going.
You notice them climb over a chain link fence, you are sure you can climb over it with ease but there is high chance you would be heard and spotted. Do you wish to proceed?

Khan waits for Kiv/kit and Mask to move, and than proceeds to walk up beside them towards the gangers, once close he bows and says "My name is khan, pleased to make your acquantices shall we shake?" and when they go to shake his hand he stabs them through the wrist/attacks normally if the mind control fails.

((Err. I know that, I was just stating if you had streetwise you could determine if they are a local gang or just a bunch of hoodlums.))

Not that anyone will stop you if you decide to leave. I'd prefer to live a little longer, personally. Unlike our good friend Mr. John Doe I believe the Wardens will hunt for us quite viciously, for at least awhile. They'll probably chase that bus first anyway...I doubt that lot will get very far. We will need distance and time to let the heat die down."

You're right in we're all in the same situation - and I suppose if you're without friends, make some, huh? I personally wouldn't have given the nutters the keys. Make things a little more hectic for them.But I guess it doesn't matter.
