My first draft. I'm not a great spriter, and I'd have to make some edits later once I see what you do with this (I'd nudge the ear left or right on GIMP in my own time, reshape, etc.), but this is what I got by looking at a picture of my dog:

An issue I feel you had is that you tried to start her ear where a human's ear is (central in the head), but dog ears aren't that way-- they hang pretty much from the top of the head. I would also suggest maybe putting it a little bit of ear on the other side if at all possible and maybe blending the top of the ear with the hair in a way that, well, imagine her hair is running over the top of her ear, rather than it spiking down the center.

I suggest putting a few strands of hair over the upper corners so it looks like it's coming out of her hair

also darken the hair around the top half of the ear so it creates the illusion of hair going under the ear and the ear sticking out from the haed and darken the hair under the ear cause it'd be darker

Bio: Valerie is a war orphan from Sanctuary's never-ending monster hunts; her parents (all soldiers of Pasive) were killed in one of the country's never-ending raids. She's the oldest of her siblings, of which she has four: a twin sister (Cecile), a younger full brother (Jerome), and two half-brothers (Maurice and Samson, from her mother's second marriage after her father died when she was three). Of her siblings, however, she's the only one who stayed in Pasive when she came of age; Cecile took their younger siblings and set out to Thaus to try to build a life away from violence.

Valerie, however, had fallen in love with sea and was very used to the organized life of the fortress her family had been stationed in, and even from a young age would often go on fishing boats and help haul the nets, carry the equipment, clean the catch, and generally learn about what it was to be a sailor. When she turned 18 and all her siblings left, she moved from civilian life right into military life by joining Pasive's army.

Despite growing up in and enjoying a structured life, Val is a very disorganized and friendly girl (one might even say she enjoys a structured life because she's too lazy to organize her own herself). She likes to gossip talk and meet people, and is very energetic. She has strong canine instincts from her monster blood and sometimes acts like a dog; for example, she greatly enjoys ear scritches and playing catch. She also tends to snarl and growl when fighting. She's very loyal to the people she accepts as her own. She gets excited easily and will sometimes bark if she gets overstimulated.

And I did this. I know the shading doesn't match the FE style and she's probably badly proportioned and the scarf kinda sucks and aaaaaagggghhhh but I just wanted to see if I could do a full body. ;~; At least it should give an idea of what she looks like.

I was going for more of a Pomeranian tail to express her cheerful and yappy nature. XD I could try that later, I suppose, but tbh I think I'm satisfied with what will likely be my only attempt into full body mugs.
