Thinking about it, Larini is a lot more like her monster form in her human shape than the other mobsters.
And yet she has perfectly human ears.

Well I mean, she has the eyes and the fangs and the skin. Other monster's fur matches their hair color, have the ears, the tail. So not significantly more and spider ears are weird.

I'd have given Aenbarr funny horse ears atop his head in case Tarvos didn't obvious have human ears in their sprites. I didn't feel like taking the artistic liberty and that also saved me some effort since I was rushing to get his mug done. Monsters that don't have humanized forms in the game get more leeway; were I playing gargoyle I'd have a good idea for how to draw the human form's horns, for example.

And hey, at least SC will liven things up regardless of the character he joins the game with.

I don't think spiders really have ears, per se - they pick up vibrations through their hairs.

Well, tbf, spiders have a lot more... different about them than say humans and dogs do. So it makes sense she'd have more different.

And SC being the one in the box makes total sense. 10/10 theory
