Yeah, I'd have to say any range-increasing stuff would be severely off limits. Most FE attacks are within one of two ranges, with a few set weapons that break that mold and have very specific downsides. Longbows (low stats) and Siege Magic (crazy low durability.)
Don't tomes also have that crazy low durability given that said PS uses 2 QL regardless of//despite the attack missing or otherwise, including the enemy phase?

Siege magic tends to have durability in the range of 5, though. A normal tome's midrange QL is 30~, and half that is still quite a lot.

I feel like the second one is written fairly badly. I'll probably try and fix that, but for tonight, all my effort was focused on the first one.

I actually think the "proper bio" is more interesting than the first one because it's more informative. I prefer to reserve writing samples for anecdotes that show examples of the character's viewpoint or allow a glimpse of the character's personality and manners in action.

You forgot to delete "returned" in the second part, by the way.

Yeah... the point of the bio is to give information about the character and the interesting bio doesn't really. There's a place for creative writing, but an informational piece isn't really it.

Question FoE: Can I remake one of my PS's to make {Wind} based attacks knock an enemy backwards (or domino effect until the last dude) 1 tile on a CRITICAL HIT? It's situationally balanced out because they might not live anyway! :D

If it replaced the +1 range at +1 QL cost PS. Also the enemy wouldn't get pushed back until combat ended, meaning they could counter attack. And if it would move them onto impassable terrain they just wouldn't get pushed back.

Yeah, I've written down the PF but I'm still thinking about the PS. I had considered something that could put the character's strength into the mechanics and similar to Tir's PS (adding damage in exchange for QL as a way of explaining the strain caused on the weapon by careless usage and stronger hits) would be interesting, though I might end up sticking to a generic one for now and leaving something with more complex rulings for the Promoted class.

Yeah, that's kinda my thought with it too. Leaving the more complex and bigger result type ones for later one since less skilled people wouldn't have as good skills, etc
