Well there are people who would try to fight the worm so I have to wait on Player's posts. Assumptions tend to cause problems.

Follow Saki. If she needs help with the hatch like she asked, do so.

Once we get clear, wipe off the slime with her top, and discard it, because being coated with digestive fluid seems a poor idea.

Mutation wise, the claws were remarkably useless, so let them go.
Start developing tougher skin, to resist acid/injury.
