And yet Godslayer doesn't even get a place in the memorial. Do you care for it so little?

Nooo, Godslayer!  :'(

Though in fairness, what with high-energy lasers causing basically tiny plasma explosions upon impact, with anything with a low enough vaporization point, they go beyond mere burns. Not much good for armor penetration, though, since futuristic composites are hard to burn into plasma.

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

May Last Dirge be permitted to join this pirate crew with a trusty chainsaw? As this game sounds extra fun.

20 Mar 2602

The gals mourned their loss of a sniper gun more that they mourned each other.

The runts started manufacturing new weapons to fill the Bonaventura once again and soon enough a new custom snipin' gun was made, but it looked too pristine in comparison to the late Godslayer and did not held as much charm.

21 Mar 2602

The hands requested better medical kits and grenades, leaving the brainers without a clue about what to do next. Looking in the old books, they discovered the secrets of some ancient armor making but that did not bring it closer to their goals.

22 Mar 2602

Finally, to the joy of Eve Jobs-sama, the brainers brought together all they knew about high powered weaponry and turned it into something useful. First they understood the workings of a powerful weapons the enemy brought during their base attacks.

And then, with the knowledge they extracted from the academician engineer, they invented a way to store large amount of energy into superconductive wire. It was nowhere near the capacity or the power of the guild batteries but quantity wins over quality here.

All three bases ordered wires in bulk and started making ammo for all the laser weapons, including the heavier ones. And at the same time a whole range of ballistic weapons were sold or kept for further upgrades, only the custom built ones made by the runts were kept in the field because 'their dakka was good'.

23 Mar 2602

Looking for new technologies to develop, the brainers started decoding all the shipping documentation they found.

At the same time, they also laid plans to replicate the still. There is never enough alcohol in the world, and never enough profit too.

24 Mar 2602

Another supply ship was detected over Asia. Instead of ltowards its base, it was shot down so its crew of marins d'eau douce could be questioned.

Crash site (Trade guild)

Clad in power armor, armed with the best weapons available, the guild bodyguard wondered what kind of fool would attack such a well defended ship.

This kind.

The guard did not have the time to figure out what the hell. He was pierced with holes as big as his fists.

A strange man in ridiculous clothing also joined the fight. He was acting in a conflicting mix of terror and self confidence. Two gals in synthsuit accompanied him and proved to be equally inefficient, despite using really heavy swords.

None of that was important because the next second, all of them, along with a handful of foes, were all vaporized in nuclear fire.

As the ball of fire dissipates in the altitude, a very pissed gal hunted down the cuplrit for this and shot him in the face. With a panzerfraust.

Ivanaya breached in the ship's remains but found no one. All that was left was to hunt the last few guards outside and call it a day.

26 Mar 2602

The brainers continued studying shipping documentations.

With this new knowledge, they designed a new interceptor. One that would be able to chase these vessels far and wide, even in hostile skies.

28 Mar 2602

With all the laser weapons supplied with ammo, the runts completed the set with Rince Wind's precision laser.

They also blamed each other for the Superslave fiasco.

30 Mar 2602

More and more documentation was decoded. The brainers are now confident that they know about about sailing that they could design a new kind of transport ship.

31 Mar 2602

The month ended and as usual the pirates were reported as a band of quality gentlegals.

This new month sounded promising, and was totally not be filled with insane plans.

------

I had to ignore the vote for tools and medecine because there is no new research for that. So I finally unlocked the laser ammo and tried to unlock stuff left and right. I'm removing the tools options until new ones are available.

Also I added Godslayer and Doggy to the memorial. :)

One of the pictures seems to be wrong. Instead of the new fighter it shows the battle report (again).

Nice update, and I vote for the mini nuke as the next research goal. The power of the atom shall be ours!

Oops, this is fixed.

Nukes has been researched already and we have a little stock.

Welcome aboard Dioxine!

Aren't randomly generated names fun? I get a lot of them in DF but those are safe and in not influenced by mods of any kind.

About the battleship, there was regular guards, guild pest managers and power armored guys.
I brought it down with two predators armed with gauss cannons. One had to retreat early because of the damage.

01 Apr 2602

Runts and brainers gathered to discuss news that they'd rather keep away from Eve Jobs-sama. Several machine tools broke down and no one quite remembered how to repair them. To do this the brainers had to restart their weaponry research.

In order to divert the attention away from this scandal, they sparked controversy with mutant porn. Heated arguments struck around the Cave of Booty. The hands compared their backsides in a sort of contest. Darkening Kaos did not appreciate ending ranked lower than Chylie and soon enough the argument turned into a fistfight.

It was a complete mess. While Angel was trying to restore order by beating gals with her medkit, Amperzand ran around with Ema Ninjatson on her back and Kat Walker biting her leg, Roadkill threw bottles, Rince Wind hid in fear under a table and Boka raided the alcohol cache. The brainers were free to fix their mistake and repair the workshops without anyone noticing.

Eventually Eve Jobs-sama ended karate chopped one gal after another and allowed them to dress a slave as a 'toy', under the promise that they did not ask for a Robby guy. The slaves were there to please the gals, not each other.

02 Apr 2602

Before further research could be done, the brainers needed to know more about this world, so the kept decoding government files and shipping docs.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

They also read more of the ancient books to know more about how the star gods invaded the Earth.

03 Apr 2602

A courrier was spoted flying over Europe. Painting it blue was more enough to get the gals curious and so the Kraken followed it to its landing site.

Landing Site (academy)

Cassandra got the coordinates wrong and landed right in the middle of their party. In their bad luck, the attack team disorganized their foes and could jump on them.

Helen ordered the attack and unloaded her blunderbuss left and right, cutting through the foes as she pushed her way towards the ship. She expected a sniper on the upper level but could only hear a shot and screams coming from inside. Cassandra fell under an evil spell and shot her teammate down!

That was bad, so Martian Max used the power armors as cover and shot her rifle at anyone in sight to move around the Kraken and control the hills nearby. Then she scouted the area, shooting the guards who came to reinforce the surprised enemy.

The last guard threw a grenade on the gals but as they wore proper armor, that only made them more excited. They shot back, covering each other and took out the last remaining personnel.

That was fast. Very fast, the crew was overwhelmed despite having numbers on its size and the ship was seized in fives minutes top.

(Really this fight took me five minutes, I wiped the floor with the academicians as most of them stood in from of the Kraken.)

05 Apr 2602

The loss of a gal at the hands of Cassandra left some space for new characters to rise.

06 Apr 2602

The brainers went though a knife magazine and learning about the heritage of the Fuso Sword. This confirms that the synthsuits does not benefits the weapon much.

They also kept scrapping for more knowledge from decrypted disks.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

They also disassembled a self charging laspistol and confirmed that it was a terrible weapon. The gals already knew because of all the shots they fired with it, they only killed one unarmored civilian.

08 Apr 2602

After a few quiet days, the brainers rejoiced. They figured that they could put more metal on the metal armor and make an excellent low technology suit.

And it came with a great shield too. The melee gals are going to enjoy this.

----

Almost all my research is about weapons, and a few new ship stuff to unlock. So the research poll was adjusted. I got great upgrades, so your choice.

You'r enot the only one because an update was relaesed yesterday (0.97) and it fixes a Star God crash.

On the other hand I had no issue updateing except that the tech tree changes closes some manufacture until I research the new entries.
