Moonbase Ganesh
« on: July 10, 2015, 06:15:23 pm »

Your group has arrived to investigate the Moonbase Ganesh, which has been silent for some time.

You have entered through the frontal airlock, into a small antechamber. What is the first order of business?

Gear check.

Specialty Check.

List off capabilities and training of each member.

List off all gear,

List off what is in our craft.

Ensure craft is sealed with only us being able to access.

Also never take off suit or helmet under any circumstance. You've all watched movies. You're genre savey astronauts. No splitting up either. Always travel in pairs or as a group. Assume all encountered are hostile.

Due to the extreme, canyonous terrain in which the entrance is located, your landing craft is parked some distance away. It was a bit of a hike to get here. You've heard that this place was a relatively small private venture, with interest in deep subsurface excavation, but not a lot was published about it. Ironically, it was only in its disappearance that it garnered much attention.

You're all rather minimally trained, competent enough to go spacewalking, and specialized in search, recovery, and scavenging. Between the four of you, you have a large powered pulverizer for knocking holes in things and digging, a compact stun pistol, An EM pulse-pick for hacking and bypassing simple electromagnetic mechanisms, and a large first-aid kit.

Each of your suits are equipped with short-range 2-way radio communication, a re-breather system that will supply 8 more hours of air, batteries with 32 more hours of charge, and lighting systems. The landing craft has plenty more supplies, though this place seems to have intact atmospherics and power.

You'll probably need some identification for more efficient ordering people around.

How do you proceed?

You are already inside. The airlock leads back out into a lunar canyon.

You are in a small antechamber, with the airlock to the outside behind you, and a corridor before you. The space is adequately lit by white tube lights on the ceiling. It all seems relatively clean, though the floor of the antechamber is very slightly dusty.

Do we know what the white squares are?
Proceed down the hallway, Heavy and Gunner leading, Doc and Bypass two spaces back. Stop when heavy and Gunner reach the tile north of the white squares.

(Walls. Sorry about that)

Advancing only this far, you can't see any further around the two corners.

Splitting up is a horrible idea.

No splitting up. Go right.
