I've recently discovered that the game is a hundred times better if you don't rely on public ladder.

So BB2 is about to run it's first national tournament. Apparently the prize pool is ~$30,000.00.

If it wasn't so luck-based this could go on my big TV.

They're gonna come out with the Legendary DLC at some point, to include all the teams (or did that already happen? I forget).

Last I heard the legendary edition is supposed to come out later this year. It has 8 new races, single player saves and a bunch of new options for tournaments and such. I'm looking forward to the new singleplayer campaign mode. I like BB2 but I'm more interested in playing it by myself than against random people on the internet.

It will be available as a standalone for those that don't have bloodbowl 2 yet, or as dlc for people who already own the game.

Not all teams, but like Wiles said, eight of them. They include classics like the halfling team, and a completely new team, I think, in the form of Kislev (the big guy is an actual bear!).

I wonder, since GW seems to be reviving the tabletop BB, if Kislev and Bretonnia will be 'ported' to the tabletop.

Heaven forbid there be an actual community around Blood Bowl, with well thought out and stat'ed teams, with The Living Rulebook that is still occasionally updated, but is *still* supported as official by the GW Blood Bowl team, well before the game got licensed on computer (again). I mean, you'd have to go to some "actual" Blood Bowl site, that actually supports all that, if you want to play the *actual* game of Blood Bowl.

So, in that case. Where's my Chaos Pact? Or my f'ing stunty teams? Ok, they fumbbl around a bit, but "based on" is weak. Kislev is stronk...... lol.


Ok, there's way more to the full-pack/expansion than that, but damn they take their time on getting the base teams in. The "based on" thing is just dumb. Make a new team. Fuck it, it's your expansion. Fully supported by GW. It'll probably give a reason to make a LRB7, just so it will keep up with "actual Blood Bowl", as it's played today. Comparing russians to fat frogs is probably impeachable in other worlds anyway. I'm not even russian. Or american, southern or not.

We'll have to see if the rules are as stupid as they are looking to be. Could just be a bunch of leaping hussars, which'll be toony but forgivable, in an 'Adrenalini brothers' kind of way.


But you can't blame a game which is rendering quality 3D models for every player for taking time on the DLC's.

I'd rather them take it slow and release pro elves and underworld units which have their own animations instead of being sad skins.
Am worried about the chaos dwarves in that respect- haven't seen them in action yet though.

The Kislev team is actually circus/acrobat themed.

I don't understand how people can enjoy playing against the AI, it doesn't understand how to play the game.  Any semi-competent player will never lose a match against it.

I'd be up for a Bay12 league if there's any interest.

I'd rather win against dumb AI than have to put up with random people on the internet. But I'm not really a big Blood Bowl player, I tinker with a team, play a few games, then put it away for a couple of months.

Maybe you haven't experienced the fun of league play then.
It gives you reason to care about a team short-term and not really mind long-term... which Blood bowl is kind of catered towards.

Well if we get at least 8 people I'll call it a win and we can start a league.

I never bothered to get this game because it seemed like more of a glorified dlc platform then an actual game, but this legendary edition has peeked my interest, assuming it's reasonable price. I remember the old bay12 blood bowl league, it was a lot of fun. I'd be up for something similar if I do end up picking up the game after the legendary edition comes out.
