Just arriving now, Richard speaks up. "Ultimate Magician. And none of my performances have anything like that; You can look through my room if you wish."

"Or it could be lying."

At the presumable stares he would receive, he shrugs and puts his hands up.

"What? It is a possibility. Who would want to start killing so soon? We are not even through the First Act. Second Act is when the killings start. Otherwise they lose punch. Monobadger does this for his amusement, in the end. If we start too soon, it would be drilling. No, wrong word. Boring, yes, that is it."

"I believe it likely to show like one, yes. As I spoke, Monobadger does this to be entertained. Plays are the most refined art form. Why would he not orchestrate it similarly? Besides, this has all the markings of an excellent tragedy in the making."

He thinks about what he just said a moment, and frowns.

"Excellent for viewing, that is. Lesson about futility of life and constant struggle of day to day existence. Not so excellent for us, I think."

Its a coping mechanism.

"Ok, I can kind of understand that. But seriously. A play."

Richard simply raises a brow at Leonhard. Not even I'm that engrossed in my talent...

Leonhard's upper lip curls slightly.

"There is no need to be impolite, madame. You are likely to survive until at least the fourth act, anyway. But I spoke with Monobadger, and as I say, he does this for his fun. I have even been making a script of it. No better inspiration than reality, in the end."

He...appears perfectly sane and reasonable. His words almost made sense. If you squinted, they probably would. As he speaks again, his expression becomes more grim, more morose. The amount of detail it appeared he could convey with such a simple change in his face, without even shifting his position. He's certainly an Ultimate...

"I...I will not survive. My part is not that of protagonist, I am sure. But whoever does...I would enjoy them to make sure this script gets published. That our story is told. Even if only in jest...it would be nice to know that someone will remember us, somewhere, when we all have spears embedded in our skulls."

"Sorry for the impoliteness. I just can't see how this can be seen as anything but a massacre. The part about the story being told, at least, makes a bit of sense."

"A massacre would be the one killing many. Monobadger has murdered just...what, out of us, four? We will be killing each other, in days to come. It will be necessity, to live as long as we can...it would be better for everyone, and for drama, if we were to pull out the intervests into the murders. After all...he will not let the play end early. Whoever kills will be found out. And they will die. And then we will live a little longer for it. If we can keep it as infrequent as possible...then maybe we will survive some months here."

He shrugs. There's not much hope in him, apparently. Or at least, in his demeanor. Who knows how he really feels.

He does raise an eyebrow at Mark, though.

"As was Hamlet, and Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet, and a hundred thousand other performances you've likely never heard. Unless you have revealed a way to escape or get help that wouldn't get us killed all the sooner...I suggest you rehearse your lines."

That last was probably just for dramatic effect and making a point. Probably.

"Poor choice of words. Meaningless slaughter."

"Are we dealing with the attempted murder, or can we go back to burying the bodies?"

"Yes I have heard of those plays and I will not kill anyone!
