Mark pays no mind to the stuffed toy, he is still absorbed in his history book

The badger thing....opens its mouth.
"So, are you all comfy? You all settled in? Hehehe. Good. Wouldn't want you all to be a little uncomfortable.

All of you, welcome to Apex Academy. I'll be your lovely host Monobadger! I'm SOOOOO excited to have SO much fun with you guys! In fact, you, you and you, stand up!"

Three students stand up, confused. The badger thing chuckles, before pressing a button on his throne with his gavel.
"EXCELLENT! You have just chosen to be my volunteers!"

Suddenly, the three students who stand up are impaled, on the spot, through the gut or chest, by two spears from seemingly nowhere, falling down dead on the spot. Mark is sprayed by the blood of one of the students.

[Bluexdog]

"What the fuck, you almost got it on my book!"

[Twinwolf]

Valery hits him on the back of the head. "That... is blood. Do you know where blood comes from?"

[SOLDIER First]

Akane draws an arrow.
Seconds later the badger has an arrow sticking out of its forehead.

[Bluexdog]

Valery hits him on the back of the head. "That... is blood. Do you know where blood comes from?"

"Wait what..."Mark turns pale as he examines the blood that spilled on him

Akira stares wide-eyed at the spot where three people once were, now dead.

The blood came from a young-looking girl next to him. She barely looked 12- it's hard to tell, with a spear sticking out of where her left eye was.

Monobadger grins at the arrow, plucking it out of his head.
"My, my, I love your spirit, girl! Save it for later, you'll love what I have next!

That little display back there was just in case you people would think I was joking around. No, Monobadger never jokes around with such SERIOUS stuff like this! Nuh-uh! And just in case you thought you might want to leave the island, the boats won't be coming back for a long while. I made sure of that. And nobody will even know something's wrong!

So, you'll have NO choice but to play my game!"
Ellen rises up and glares at him.
"Shut up! You monster! How could you kill all those-"

Ellen is suddenly silenced by a spear through her gut. She collapses to the floor, dead, next to Valery, her indignant expression not having even left her face. Her death was sudden.

Monobadger frowns.
"You know, it's rude to interrupt someone when they're talking, girl. Oh, well, I think you've learned your lesson, so to speak.

So, anyway, back to my little game. Is there anyone ELSE who wants to interrupt me?"

[Twinwolf]

Valery says nothing, staring at the dead girl bleeding on her feet.

[SOLDIER First]

Akane is silently furious. That bastard stole her arrow.

John is unsurprised. He turns to another student and says, "Typical badger behavior. Got some pizzazz though."

"Excellent! Today, we will now commence, without further ado, the High School Game of Mutual Killing!

It's simple as this; you'll all start killing each other. Once you're all dead, the last person standing gets to go home. Monobadger never breaks his promises, so if you're the last person standing, congratulations! You get to go home!

However, there's a little catch. You have to do it without getting caught, you see- I'll kill you if you get caught. Murder is a crime, after all! But if you people catch the wrong person....you all die! See? Risk is FUN!

So you people better not catch the wrong person! Or else you will ALLLLL die!"
Monobadger is far too happy.
"Oh, and what's more, if you people don't start killing each other, I'll just have to make you all kill each other. Say, by cutting off your food, or by threatening to blow you all up! It's not fun to have a game with nobody playing it properly, after all.

Don't worry, though, as long as a person dies, every now and again, Monobadger will not throw any more spears at people. Unless they try to kill me; then that's just self-defense. And don't break my rules either. I don't like rulebreakers!"

[SOLDIER First]

Akane raises her hand.

Akira returns to his usual bored expression. Once the shock of the fact that yes, this badger thing had just killed 4 people and yes it does have a button to shoot spears... Okay, so the shock hasn't really gone. But what would panicking over it accomplish? Nothing.
So he continues to sit there, slightly hunched over and at least looking bored out of his mind once more.
These rules were... Interesting, though.

This is the one 'game' I don't want to play... Valery thinks to herself.
